Underflavored and Overpriced. We had our anniversary dinner here and wish we would have gone somewhere else. The good: The wild boar quesadillas were absolutely fantastic. Lots of meat and cooked with fresh ingredients! The perfect amount of cheese. Our waitress was nice. The bad: Both our Dr Peppers tasted pretty flat. The sides (mac and cheese & cesar salad) were acceptable, nothing special. There were a LOT of employees walking around in the emptyness of the seating area (we were the only ones there in that part of the restaurant.) Some enployees would stop across the room and just stare at us eating. When we left, the manager just watched us leave and said nothing. (Assuming he was a manager bc he was dressed differently and was bouncing around differently parts of the place.) The ugly: We ordered their most expensive steaks (the cowboy ribeye) and while it was pretty on the plate, both were VERY cheap cuts. Chewy and lacking juiciness. Mine was served RED. I tried a bite and sent it back. (I ordered it medium-rare) and was more red than my wife's (she ordered hers rare.) It helped the texture a little but not the flavor. (I did try a bite before I sent it back.) The steak was well peppered but lacked salt. It had a decent hint of smokiness but really was just trying to cover the cheap quality of the steak. I'd expect this from a Texas Roadhouse but not from a boutique steakhouse like this. The blackeyed peas served as a side were TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE and were not on the menu. The steak was also served with a cup of sauce and was disgusting. With SO MANY better options in DFW...we probably won't be back.

• visited this very unique restaurant, late at night with like a group of 20+ people & definitely recommend the habanero fish tacos!! i will say tho, i asked for no habanero sauce on my tacos!! even then, the seasoning on the fish… perhaps cayenne pepper or just the black pepper already added that spicy kick for me!!😂👏🏼🌮(the order comes with cilantro-lime rice which altogether made a great combo.) • the whole restaurant has very antique/old vintage decor, and the whole restaurant is designed with like a very rustic/wooden look. the walls & chairs & like pretty much everything is wood.😂👏🏼🐿 • i’m rating 4 stars because there was live music right across from where we were seated & it was a bit loud, we had to talk loudly at the table & at the waiters.😂and i did order fries, never got them. told the person bringing out our food & drinks about my fries…waited another 5 minutes never got them. asked for them again…😂😂still waited another 10 & well let’s just say i told 3 people working that night if my fries were ready they all said we’ll bring them right out, lol never did.🤙🏼the tacos where amazing so i’m not complaining!! but here i am wondering what happened to my fries!!🤓

It was Wednesday date night, and I had found this place on Google while we were running errands. We had been here before but didn't remember if it was thumbs up or not. The parking lot is big, and the setup outside screams, eat, and drink outside. We entered, and the restaurant was empty. You need to wait to be seated, and we were escorted to our booth. The restrooms are in the back of the building as you enter, and they are well kept. From the moment we met our server, she was awesome and pleasant. We arrived in time for the happy hour with appetizers and drinks, so we ordered the deep fried bacon and placed our order for ribs and enchiladas. The food arrived quickly, and the service was excellent. The bacon had a unique yet good taste. I recommend it. The ribs and okra were nothing out of the ordinary but good. The brisket enchiladas didn't go well as the mother of the cashew only ate the brisket due to the tortilla. The margarita was a pleasant addition to the experience. There were some issues with Happy Hour prices that were addressed. Sixty dollars for two was ok due to the customer service and company. I say try the place.

The first time my family and I ate at this restaurant, it was phenomenal. The service was wonderful and everything. But a few days ago when we decided to come back, the experience we had then compared to our first time here was completely different. After we were seated, it was about 15 minutes before our server came to take our order and before she did another server from a different section checked on us and got us drinks. We ordered two appetizers, our server never appeared again until our appetizers were brought to us BARELY LUKE WARM. And after we ordered our entrees, she again disappeared and never came out to check on us at all. We watched two different groups of people come in long after we did, were waited on and taken care of, and they received their food before we did and they had more people in their group than us. Once our waitress came back after 30 minutes of being gone, I asked her to refill my glass of water and it took her more than 15 minutes to come back to our table with my refill. She told us at least 3 times that our food should be out any minute, but she didn't seem to care or acknowledge that we had been there awhile. After an hour of waiting for our food, it finally came out and it was also BARELY LUKE WARM. My chicken fried chicken was tough to cut into and stale, my mother's fish was stone cold and her coleslaw was gray and smelled funny, and our french fries were saturated with grease like they had been sitting in fryer before the oil got hot. But of course after our food was dropped off at our table, the waitress again disappeared. My stepfather got fed up, then stood up and he had to go searching for her. After he found her and told her what had happened, she went and got her manager. 5 minutes later, the manager came out and spoke to us and we told him about how long we had waited and the horrible service from our waitress and that our food was cold. He just shrugged and said "okay I'll get your food warm", then he took our plates. About 7 minutes later, they brought our food back and then just disappeared yet again. The food they brought back to us was the exact same food we had before, they had just heated it up in the microwave or put it under a warmer for a few moments. They also just smothered my plate of food with white gravy to make it look like it was a new plate, the chicken still had the cut off parts I had cut off the first time before I discovered how cold and stale it was. My mother still had the old gray coleslaw and greasy fish. We really didn't feel like waiting another hour for someone to come back and check on us and get us new food, so we regretfully ate our reheated food. My chicken was rock hard and had more breading than meat, even the gravy wasn't saving it, my mother's catfish had fish bones in it, my stepfather's rice was old too, and our fries were just too greasy and slimy. And despite our horrible experience, when our waitress came back with our ticket, we noticed that we were charged full price for everything. Nothing was taken off of our ticket, not the horrible food or appetizers and there was no discounts, no offer of free desserts, no apology given to us, nothing at all whatsoever. We were highly disappointed. And we had been there for over 2 hours. The employees seemed to care more about serving the customers who were sitting near the performance stage and patio watching the concert while the customers inside the restaurant were more neglected. Normally when we have an experience like this we would never come back. But since we had an amazing one our first time here we're willing to give this place one more chance, but not anytime soon though. Hopefully the staff and the manager learn how to treat their customers better and I hope no one else has the experience we did that day. Here's a word of advice, never go here...

Went early for Tejas Bros Fiesta 18 Shiner Sunday....Sunday 3 P.M.

Met by a "hostess" that looked like a cleaning person or dishwasher. Had a dishevled looking clothes and a pink hairnet. Dont think she spoke Eng....at least she grunted at us.

We had a table reserved on patio for the music, but wanted to eat inside. Asked for a table...should have left when the restaurant side was EMPTY.

Grunt person pointed us at a table, handed us menus and silverware....so we went and sat. Warm and no air moving...shoulda left when they didnt even have the overhead fans going.

Waitperson Jane said she'd be right with us....never even took our drink order. She finally came back and appologized for taking so long...remember the place is empty...and warm.

Asked if she could turn on the air and fans...she said yes. Brought half our drinks...water and an Old Fashioned, but not the beer because she couldnt remember what we ordered. She also forgot about the air/fans.

She took our food order and eventually brought our beers.

Food came out in 4 different servings...with quite a bit of time between deliveries.

Chilli and a Chicken Fried Steak came first. My Chilli was warm not hot and watery. SIL's CFS was good he said. Next came Onion Rings, which were ok...kinda droopy. Next came flautas.... The last delivery was a salad with chicken and chips with quac... Chips were old/stale. Chicken was rubbery....some of the lettuce in the salad was brown...and not brown from chicken being added.

By this time the heat was getting to us older peeps. Paid our bill and headed for patio for music.

It was packed and they had 1 big fan and that was it. Our $80 table was back away from speakers, but it was still loud and no air moving from the 1 big fan. I left the 3 at the table and went back to the bar, I could hear the music....and guess what the bar was cool and fans were running. What separates the bar from the WARM restaurant...1 wall.

Wife came out....her hiney didnt fit on the little metal chair seat and she was tired of NO air movement. Our 5 YO granddaughter would have filled the little metal chair.

Anyway, the music patio was to be expected...and we likely would have stayed had I and wife not been exasperated with Jane (waitress), hostess (dishwasher) crappy food, no AC in restaurant, no fans turned on in restaurant.

If you want a crappy dining experience go to Lone n War on Sunday afternoon....or just sit at hone and poke yourself in the eye or get some pliars and oull your own fingernails off.

New owners will never see our family or...

So walking in the greeter is very sweet and you have the option of dining in only or going into the area where they have live music. We chose the dining in area so we could hear each other. Our waitress was extremely nice and was very patient while we decided on our appetizers and drinks. She also made some suggestions. Whoever made our drinks THANK YOU! They were the absolute highlight of our night! I got a Mai Tai and my bestie got the Michelada. Now to the food. I really hate to leave bad reviews but this is the 1st time I have ever left a restaurant hungry. The first appetizer was the Texas Tumbleweeds. These onion rings were NOT seasoned as stated on the menu and they were extremely flimsy, no crunch. They were soggy and flavorless. The Diablos Tejanos (stuffed jalepenos) were good. My friend opted out of a meal and instead got dessert. She got the campfire smores Sunday. The only complaint on this was the brownie. It is literally like one of those little Debbie brownies cut in half. When you think of a brownie Sunday it usually has a nice full sized thick brownie under all the toppings but this one did not. It was still delicious though. I got the baby back ribs with garlic mashed potatoes, mac n cheese and sautéed spinach. The sautéed spinach was the highlight because it had mushrooms and onions under it with a little cheese on top. VERY flavorful! The mac n cheese was not good. It reminded me of one I used to get in school with like a powder cheese sauce and the second it starts to cool off it is horrible. The mashed potatoes were okay but the gravy on top was kind of lukewarm so that made it taste off. The ribs were way too tough! My friend was literally laughing at me trying to pull the meat off and twist and turn it to get it to break apart so I could actually eat it. The glaze or sauce on it was not that flavorful and they didn't put much on there. For the prices on the menu this could have been executed WAY better! Food could have been fresher and more effort could have been put into the seasoning! I have had ribs for like $15 at major restaurant chains that have better sauce, seasoning and the meat actually pulls apart easily and melts in your mouth. It's disappointing to go somewhere and pay more and not get better quality! And I should mention there were barely any customers in the dining area so its not like they were backed up with a lot of people. We would not come back here and it's a shame because they have live music and everything! I mean I guess we could enjoy drinks and music but definitely not eat...
