My wife Had to wait forever for a refill setting on the edge of the table, while two other waiters are taking care of nearby tables immediate to our location, The chicken was a little spicy which was not expecting, that is OK but the time she had to wait for a refill was ridiculous watching her get everybody else’s drinks around us and leaving the area before she could ask us if we would like a refill. I was very offended and had to ask Tyler a waiter taking care of an immediate nearby table if he could help us out please and grab my wife something to drink he willingly did so with pleasure and a smile on his face. The little blonde girl running around trying to show her gut off was nowhere to be seen, until after she got beers from the bar for other customers and later knowing and seeing Tyler help us with our drink. I suggest dressing a little more appropriate….I immediately asked for my check and again wasn’t offered a refill on my beer which had been sitting there for several minutes empty while I was choking down my chicken, but still I did leave a few dollars tip and Mighty Chick should be thankful for waiters like Tyler because he save you from getting a one star and I will contemplate on coming back to your restaurant and changing my two star to something different if I have a better experience but until then this just set on my mind heavy, I do not like leaving negative reviews I only like leaving great reviews for great people but this was not a great experience so please forgive me… by the way wash those dirty damn windows they’re filthy and dust the hallway on the rail also it’s filthy going...
Read moreI had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich (heat level 2) and it was plenty hot for me. By itself it was enough to eat, though I didn't stop there.
The chicken-to-bread ratio is petty close to 2:1. It was truly a massive cut of chicken fried perfectly and seasoned generously. I've had Nashville hot chicken sandwiches from a variety of restaurants before but this was far and away the largest piece of chicken I've been served. The slaw is crisp and peppery, the pickles are bright, the sauce is creamy and the bun holds up throughout but isn't tough or chewy. In other words, it's about the best you can expect from a hot chicken sandwich. By the way, I saw the other review saying it was better than Hattie's and I was like, "come on," but I get it. It's good!
I had to try the slaw and pickles on their own and you know what? They hold up. The slaw is more flavor-forward than I'd expect but in a good way. And the pickles counter that flavor with light texture and acidic punch.
The Nashville fries are the regular old staple you'd expect but dusted with the Nashville seasoning. A good side to balance those bites of chicken sandwich. Try that seasoning on the pickles or slaw for a light but spicy snack or side!
All of it is best washed down with a cold adult beverage, and the selection is on par with most other bar-and-grill/pubs around the area. At least 16 beers on tap and a full bar. You can't go wrong.
tl;dr - I'll be back for another one of those hot chicken sandwiches, you can...
