I wish Google allowed to give a ZERO star for this restaurant. Thats the type of service and communication that provide. A week or so ago, I placed an online order at 5:42 pm for next day pick-up at 3 pm. I even called them to confirm that they have received my order and also added another item to the order. The person on the phone acknowledge that they have received the order the confirmed that it will be picked up the next day. Guess what the restaurant did?! They made the food for the same day. Then they called me at 8:30 pm stating "We are making sure you will be picking up the food". I replied "Yes, I have placed an order for pick-up tomorrow afternoon at 3 pm". So the person who called me states that "Yes, thats correct it is for tomorrow afternoon." Then the next afternoon I called at 1 pm to confirm that food will be ready by 3pm and that the additional item will be added to my orders. Sure enough, the person on the phone states "Yes, we have your order and yes both of those orders will be ready by 3 pm". We go to pick up the order, guess what?! The person at the counter said that they made the food yesterday and they dont have any order for today. They failed to see what date/time the order was. Not only that, the person lies to me and says that they have been calling all morning long on my cell phone about the additional order and that they dont have the ingredients. I showed my call logs and they looked dazed. I asked them to show me their call logs and they wouldnt. They were lying to me that they were calling all morning about my order. Not only that, for a while they didn't even acknowledge their mistake that they didn't check the exact date/time of the order pick-up. They had nothing in their defense. I told them that they are in service industry and I have never faced this low level of service and not only that they are lying to my face about the order that I placed both online and on the phone. Bottom line, I would go to other nearby restaurants as there are many good ones such as Biryani Pot, Bawarchi biryani, and many in the neighborhood rather than going to this place. They don't have any sense of how to communicate with customer, no sense of service, and they don't even know who is picking up their phone calls and telling you one thing but delivering something else. NOTE: If the restaurant owner reads this review, don't waste my time by replying back asking for invoice number so they "can investigate matter" as you very well know what I'm exactly talking about and which weekend this blunder happened on your end. You can ask all of the clueless staff that works there including the chef (who by the way was answering the call) and the lady who I finally spoke to before asking me for the invoice number so you can...
Read moreI have been living in Dallas Metro for nearly 20 years and had seen a 100 Indian restaurants but never had such a miserable experience as I did with Peacock Elite. I went for a buffet today (Friday) afternoon at around 1 PM. When I entered the line, I saw that the trays one of the two appetizers and two of the 3 chicken entrees were empty. I told the manager that they were empty but he said in a rather rude tone that it would take some time to fill. Then by the time he brought the first appetizer, the second one was over. And within minutes all three chicken entrees were over. I waited for nearly 20 minutes before one of them was filled and no sign of the remaining 2. I went for the desserts and saw that all of them empty. I told the manager that he should at least bring the desserts, and he started arguing with such inanities as "first of all you came late and complaining that the food was not available (when I entered 1:30 hours before the restaurant closed)" "do you know how long it takes to cook tandoor items" (I am not a cook, I am a guest). I told him that if he could not serve, he should say that upfront so that I could go to another restaurant. After a little while, he mellowed down, he brought 2 desserts but the third one was still empty and the yogurt rice was also empty. As I was leaving 50 minutes after I came in, I saw that butter chicken tray, which was empty when I came in, was never filled. As I was checking out, the manager said that they had a dinner party catering that night and cooks could not handle the load. But, that was no excuse for the poor service and arrogant attitude restaurant business house. I believe that they were deliberately keeping the trays empty to save some money because the trays were very small and they were not even many guests at that time (half the hall was vacant).I will not go anywhere near this place ever again. The Manager is so rude I have been to so many restaurants past 20 yrs no restaurant manager has been so rude and treated bad the customers as if they doing free service. Her Body Language totally unacceptable unprofessional. I bought elite food paid around 40$ (with tax) not one item was good instead one pizza would have made our day. I called asked the manager to replace or refund she was not listening yelling, every second trying to cut off. No managers done this in my experience they listen , accept and try to replace or refund to make customers happy. she was not willing to replace at least 2 items also but she said she has to check. The Chicken biryani was just plain rice no taste, chicken 65 over burnt blackish, horrible taste (also too much food color). Naan was also not good they don't cut the naan also even if we give instructions. Biryani salna no salt no taste. Kadai chicken was another trash. Food was total waste. I called after 2 days (Monday) Manager picked the phone and disconnected. She is not honest, no respect no concern , totally unprofessional, argues lot instead. I texted her later & she replied telling she was thinking to replace one item since I said food color she is not going to since that's the way they run business. She find every reason to not credit so arrogant. This hotel uses too much off food color too that causes cancer beware. I would not visit again in near future, this is not the way to treat customers, I felt so bad & hurtled. I know she is going to build stories for this comment not accepting the facts.
