We had high hopes for this restaurant. We love Thai food. But we're disappointed by a few things.
We came in and the place was very busy. A young man said it would be just a few minutes as they need to clean a table. We said okay and told him we needed to wash our hands. So we both went to do so. We came out and a lady was taking names on a list. We explained that the young man told us he was having this table cleaned for us. She immediately cleaned the table and sat us. Very nice. But we had no menus.
Then the server came and said what do you want. We told her we needed menus. She said we close at 10 pm. It was 9:15. She went and brought menus and again said what do you want. Very confused how we would all of a sudden know the menu, without even opening it. My husband just ordered some items we get at other real Thai restaurants and said with pork. Because we still had not even had a second to look at the menu. She told us they do not have pork. Which is fine. But then give us a minute to look at your menu to know you do not have pork.
We ordered our food at the highest level of spice. Yet it was barely spicey. We asked a few times for some fresh chilis or the dried chilis and it was a long time in getting to us. They seemed to not be able to get items or very confused about getting items. . We asked for limes and said green. So we didn't have a problem but still got lemons. Seems to be a big problem here in Texas. So we always say green or Verde. Didn't think it would be a problem here, because it is not a spanish speaking person. The table next to us asked for limes and specificly said the same as on the dish. And got lemons. And they were spanish speaking people. They seemed to not be able to get items or were very confused about getting itmes.
I just feel this restaurant needs some staff training and some friendlier staff. The young man was very friendly and so was the Thai lady. But the young man was forgetful and didn't communicate with the other staff very well. We had asked him for the chilis when he dropped off our food, but didn't tell anyone until we were already asking the server again for some.
And this is a halal restaurant which explains the no pork. But we couldn't even have 1 min to...
Read moreI recently dined at Noodle Wave at Frisco and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. I feel compelled to share my disappointing encounter in the hope that it may prompt improvements in the restaurant's service and quality.
The main issue arose with the Pad Thai I ordered, which was not only chewy but also hard to eat. Upon bringing this concern to the attention of the management, their response left much to be desired. The staff took the food back but, to my disbelief, when presenting the bill, they insisted that we couldn't have it removed as we had allegedly consumed half of the dish.
This assertion was both perplexing and frustrating, as we had served the Pad Thai to our kids, only to discover its subpar quality upon tasting it ourselves. It's disheartening to see a restaurant not taking responsibility for the quality of their food, especially when it falls below the expectations one would have for a Thai restaurant.
To add insult to injury, the atmosphere became increasingly uncomfortable as waiters and other staff members openly observed and made fun of our predicament. This unprofessional behavior only served to further diminish our already tarnished dining experience.
Furthermore, when we tried to express our dissatisfaction, the waiter claimed that 95% of their customers are repeat patrons, insinuating that we were in the minority and somehow in the wrong for voicing our concerns. This dismissive attitude towards customer feedback is not only unprofessional but also a clear indication of a lack of commitment to customer satisfaction.
In conclusion, my visit to Noodle Wave at Frisco was marred by subpar food quality, a dismissive attitude from management, and unprofessional behavior from the staff. I sincerely hope that this feedback serves as an opportunity for the restaurant to address these issues and strive for improvements in both the culinary and customer...
Read moreWe went to Frisco for a graduation. None of us are from this area, so finding a place to eat afterwards was crazy since it was also Father's Day. My niece originally wanted to eat at another place that we all were familiar with but she had never been (chain restaurant.) The wait there was nearly 2 hours, so we literally Google mapped restaurants near the Comerica Center and Noodle Wave caught her eye. We hardly had to wait at all. The manager got our large party of 9 seated right away and even checked to make sure the table was not in an area too warm for us.
Our server's name was Kyla (I hope I got that right. ) She made everything pleasant from the first time she came to our table. Spending nearly an hour in the 95 degree heat and humidity with 2 boys under 4 had not been a picnic for any of us.
We ordered drinks and a couple of appetizers - a tempura salad and another dish that I can't name right now. And the 9 of us all ordered different entrees, including 2 different curry dishes, sesame chicken, noodle dishes, orange chicken, and crab noodles. The food was wonderful. All the staff helped keep our cold drinks refilled, and then on top of that, the restaurant brought us 2 fried ice creams on the house because they said we had been so nice. We were very touched by that because a table of 9 with kids is not really the easiest to serve!
Thanks so much for making our trip so pleasant. We literally left Amarillo at 0430 this morning to make it here for a noon graduation ceremony and we're headed back home as I am typing this review. We all enthusiastically recommend Noodle Wave for authentic Thai and Vietnamese dishes and...
