They’re supposed to be good and now they are serving all chicken not fresh at all.
And this was the reply from the managment:
Thank you for taking the time to emailing us and for providing us with more information of your previous experiences with Pollo Regio at our Plano establishment . We will firstly like to start off by saying that we highly appreciate our customers feedback whether it is good or bad and take note of every bit of it. We will also like to offer you our sincerest apologies for the inconveniences that you and your family have encountered with our chicken where you mentioned to us that you received a very cold and old chicken and when you asked the manager for a replacement the chicken was still old and cold. We are always working hard to provide our customers with the fresh food quality products as you can only imagine how we are feeling to hear of this incident. We assure you that we will be forwarding this information over to corresponding management to make them aware of the situation and to release further improvements such as ; always making sure that our customers are at all times being served with the best food quality products. Although, we’d like you to know that we values your presence and hope to continue serving you and your family which is why, out of curtesy Pollo Regio will like to offer you Two Free Meal Certificates to try and make up for the previous experiences. In hope that you are willing to accept and allow us a second chance to improve ourselves I’d like to mention that we are aware that the situation is more so of us takin action and releasing improvements, but we surely never want our customers to leave their visit the way that you did. The process of Certificates is very simple and easy. We will just need your corresponding address as they will be shipped out via mail and it will take approximately one or two weeks for you to receive...
Read moreI have eaten at this and several other different Pollo Regio restaurants many times over the years. The food is always excellent, never had a problem of any kind in any of them. Pollo Regio has been around here for years and has been very successful and very good. To call Pollo Regio an upstart Pollo Loco is simply an uninformed statement, and an insult.
El Pollo Loco came into the area 2 or 3 years ago, and are already closing restaurants. I have eaten at a couple of different El Pollo Loco restaurants probably a total of four or five times, just to give them the benefit of the doubt.
The food is bland, chicken was dry and tasteless, the sides were bland, and this was at both Pollo Loco's I tried, everytime I went!!! I simply did not like anything I got any of those times from either El Pollo Loco. I have a lot of years experience in the food industry, (not a crybaby Yelper), I gave them a lot more chances to impress me than most people would. I'm not alone either, in fact, the only people I ever hear brag on them are usually from California. I don't know how anybody could think their food is good,
Pollo Regio is light years better than El Pollo Loco, hands down. Anyone with taste buds knows...
Read moreThis place used to be really good but lately their service has decayed significantly. This last Saturday I went to get some chicken through the drive through. I got in line an waited for about 20 minutes most of which were right next to the board where I normally place my orders. This time no one took my order. Finally the car in front moved so I decided to just move ahead thinking that they would just take my order at the window. Once I made it to the window I was told that they did not have chicken ready and that it would take 40 minutes. Given that chicken is the main product in this place, they should have had the curtesy to put a sign or somehow notify people so we don’t waste a bunch of time waiting for nothing. I made that suggestion to the kid at the window who did not say a word and instead slammed the window. Service is of utmost importance in the restaurant business, so I would suggest the manager to invest a little in training his front line people, in particular the kid that was there on Saturday 7/17 at about 1:30pm. I don’t think I’ll go back...
