Roma Italian Bistro — Restaurant in Plano

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Roma Italian Bistro in Plano, and I must say, it was an experience to remember! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy, inviting atmosphere that perfectly captured the essence of authentic Italian dining.

The menu is extensive, offering a fantastic selection of traditional Italian favorites as well as unique house specialties. I decided to start with the Bruschetta, which was fresh and bursting with flavor. The tomatoes were ripe, and the basil added a lovely touch of freshness. For my main course, I opted for the Chicken Parmigiana, and it was absolutely divine! The chicken was perfectly breaded, tender, and generously smothered in marinara and melted cheese, accompanied by a side of spaghetti that was cooked to perfection.

To top it all off, I couldn’t resist trying the Tiramisu for dessert, and it was the best I’ve had in a long time. The balance of coffee and mascarpone was simply delightful!

The service at Roma Italian Bistro deserves special mention as well. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, and she provided excellent recommendations throughout our meal. The atmosphere was lively yet intimate, making it perfect for a romantic dinner or a gathering with friends and family.

Tried Roma for the first time and we are so glad we did! My husband I are very picky when it comes to certain foods. We weren’t sure about how the quality of the food would be. Our waitress Noe came to take our or order and I asked her how the food was and if it was made fresh or if they buy it frozen. She said they make it fresh every week! I ordered the lasagna and husband order the spaghetti with meat sauce. We got our food and let me tell you, it was absolutely delicious!!! The spaghetti had a great amount of meat sauce, usually we have to ask for more because most restaurants don’t put enough. The lasagna was amazing, very tasty. Oh and the bread they serve, oh my gosh!!! We got dessert to take home. I got the Lemon cake and it was freaking amazing and hubby got cannoli and it was so so good!!! This place is wonderful! Food, service, staff - all of it. We dropped in after a graduation with a large party of 13 for our first visit. We were seated as soon as we arrived but I did call ahead to make sure they could accommodate us. We started with the calamari and bruschetta which were delicious. Several people said the calamari was the best they'd ever had. And that wasn't the last time we'd hear that around the table. Entrees included frutti de mare, Chef's special, chicken marsala, spaghetti with meatballs, and even lasagna. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. The marinara sauce was so bright and flavorful. The staff was friendly and attentive. The owner came out a couple of times to make sure everyone was happy with their food. Then came dessert and espresso. Once again, rave reviews on the tiramisu and the cannoli.
