3 Street Tacos: Crispy corn tortilla filled with choice of meat, potatoes, cilantro & onions. Raspberry Horchata: Mexican rice horchata agua fresca with Raspberry flavoring The Meal: Although they weren’t the best tacos I’ve tasted in Dallas, they were good and prepared just right. I’ve never had potatoes on the side with my tacos, but they complimented nicely. The tacos and potatoes were seasoned well and I love spice, so I most definitely broke a sweat or two. The fixings of onions and cilantro were diced to perfection. The corn tortillas were pan seared just right, and this can be tricky being that corn tortillas are very thin. Horchata isn’t something I normally drink, but I’m no stranger to the rice based beverage. A few of the ingredients were over powering, but it didn’t take away from the fact that it was blended well. It was by far the best horchata I’ve ever tasted even with its imperfections. The Service: My manager and I ordered to-go, but the cashier had a friendly face and attitude. I’m always impressed when my server or cashier is informative. I had no idea they were giving out free raspberry horchata as a promotional deal. Who doesn’t love free drinks?! The Atmosphere: Although I did not dine-in, it seemed family-oriented. Granted, the place is rather small, but there were families taking up most of the space. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere, so it’s no surprise that there were more families than couples. Final Grade: (B+) The raspberry in the horchta was a bit overbearing as well as the cinnamon. The beef itself inside the tacos could’ve been seasoned a tad bit better, not everyone can handle a certain level of spice, so you want to be sure people still enjoy the food. The company should work on proportioning of meals, although all elements of the meal complimented one another. You can still taste where there could’ve been...
Read moreThis was just a terrible experience for us and it’s gotta be pretty bad for me to want to complain about. My wife and I thought we could try this place out since it had a high amt of strong reviews and my wife is a fan of good flautas. Service was really slow but there were about 8 other orders ahead of us so maybe kitchen was understaffed? Whoever was cooking though probably hated the customers while we were there. First my wife’s order was incorrect, she asked for simple flautas with some of the ingredients on the side. We overlooked that but my order was a joke. Chicharron burrito that was way over spiced. My wife who is Cajun btw even said you couldn’t taste the meat or potatoes since it was drowned in red pepper flakes and verde sauce. I muscled down about 3 bites before tossing it in the garbage where it belonged. Elotes were drenched in bland milky mayonnaise sauce, and topped with congealed cotija crumble, so odd and untraditional texture you could play frisbee with 🤢. Beans and rice were also not cooked and unseasoned without any sense of salt. Last of all, even the churros were a disappointment 🤦🏻 tasted like they were about 2 days old, lukewarm and stiff. This place is a far cry from Mexican taquerias who know how to balance flavor, spice and texture. By the way there are like 5 other authentic ones down the street so we’ll probably be spending our time and cash there in the future. Adios Taqueria...
Read moreFirst time going and I have to say I'm glad we did. Tacos were a good size and if you get the grande sized taco they definitely are big lol. The burrito is pretty big too. Salsa was spicy which I loved 😍 makes it more authentic to me. The meat was good. I tried the barbacoa and the pastor 😋👌delicious! They're also not stingy with the cilantro and onions which is always a plus! They serve some potatoes with the tacos and man they are bomb! I loved them! They also have a small robot tray that delivers your food which was cute. The Agua de Pepino (Cucumber drink) was soooo good 👍 reminded me of when my parents make it 😄 they can also add chamoy and tajin around the edge of the cup which makes it even more mouth watering 🤤. For my drinkers out there, they have a happy hour (sorry don't know the hours for that lol) and their Mango margaritas with chamoy and tajin are popular. They basically are mangonadas. The restaurant is small but well decorated inside with paintings of 2 or 3 iconic Spanish celebrities on the walls. Overall, good vibe, great food/drinks, and friendly staff. Definitely recommend 👌 P.s. Gets pretty packed if you go after 6pm, if you want to avoid a line go a bit earlier or you might not get a seat. Also if they are packed just be patient, they are working hard to get...
