Simon's Sushi is a one if a kind eatery that offers a relaxing atmosphere and delicious food. The staff is very friendly and the service is wonderful. I started going to this restaurant last year, when I was looking for a place to eat to celebrate my birthday. It's now become a weekly or bi-weekly thing for me to stop by Simon's Sushi for dinner. I'm a big fan of the Salmon Skin Sushi Rolls and their Nabeyaki Udon, usually order it every time I go there. This restaurant is definitely a hidden treasure in Plano, and loved by many people. Theres lots of regular customers that have been coming for years, and I think thats one of the things that speaks for itself in terms of how much people love what the restaurant has to offer. I highly recommend it to anyone who's looking for some fresh Sushi. Who knows, you may become a regular customer like me!

EDIT: I've been gone 7 months and for the last two months all I could think about was Simon's Sushi. Went for lunch today and it was amazing! Everything we got was top quality and tasty. Service was exceptional and everyone so friendly. ❤️🥰 THEY'RE BACK and as good as I remember. Simon's went through a bad patch but whatever the problem was they fixed it because their sushi is back to being extremely yummy! Especially the BTS ROLL - that stands for Better Than Sex and it's definitely a mouth 'gasm at the first savory bite. Try it!

04/29: just stopped by while out running errands and tried their sushi lunch combo for about $19+tax. I thought it was just ok (quantity, size, and selection) compared to some other places that has sushi lunch specials. But service was still good. 😊 Stopped by here with my mom for a quick lunch and we both had the chirashi. It's not a huge portion but just enough imo and price was around $18 without tax. It also came with a cup of soup. Fish was fresh and had enough variety to keep us happy 😊. Service was fine as well.

Good quality food, not cheap, less quantity.

Pros Freshness. I usually eat tuna rolls here and the fish pieces were fresh. This restaurant has a break time between late lunch and early dinner to maintain the freshness of their ingredients. Good green tea. The chef handles the ingredients very well. There are some unique menus only available here. They also have some spicy menus.

Cons Expensive. For all special menus, they do not specify the price. It is very hard for customers to figure out how much they can eat with their budget. Less quantity. Most of their dishes are 50% less quantity than others from general restaurants. I had a Salmon/Tuna Tower which costed me over $13, but it was just a small dish with some sliced tuna pieces, avocado slices, mayonnaise, rice, and soy sauce. It was more like an appetizer rice ball than a meal. I would pay $4~5 for it, no more than that.

I definitely do not recommend this place to students. There are more casual sushi places around this area you could go with your friends. You can pay other restaurants half less price for almost similar quality and quantity food. But if you do really want to try their sushi, do not hesitate asking questions to the waitress there. Make sure you are getting what you want, not wasting money unexpectedly. Staffs will explain each menu politely, and sometimes they let you know how to eat it. They are very...

I am allegic to shell fish - they said no problem we will prepare with cleaned area and package completely separate bags from the rest of order . Price was high when I arrived but I still paid to pick up - they bring out 1 bag and I said - please if you didn't package it separately as they said they would do - I understand it not the everyday request- but please take off the 2 cucumber rolls and credit me back for my 2 rolls and I can go home with the rest of the order. The waiter just wanted me to to take it and leave. I said not just please take out the 2 rolls - as I didn't trust that anyone paid attention that I am allegic to shell fish. 10 minutes later the lady manager said she is not glving me.my order order. So I said ok where is my refund for the 2 rolls . She gave me my check and ask for my credit card to credit back . Waited again and now they don't want to give.my the rest of the order and they credit me back full.and asked me to leave -with nothing. I asked why she do suck a thing and not just credit me back said that I was wrong and repeat that...

This was the most unpleasant experience I’ve had in a very long time. From the moment we walked in the waitress was not friendly at all. We ignored that and went on about our evening. She was annoyed everytime we asked about menu options which is a part of her job. I absolutely have never had worse sushi in my life. I ate 1/2 of the rolls, I told her I didn’t like it and she responds with “nobody has ever complained about this roll and your friend ate it” My friend ate it because she was hungry and I’m not really sure what other peoples experience and taste has to do with mine. If I don’t like something and I haven’t eaten it I expect good service. Her next response was “well, I can’t do anything about it, I’ll just trash it and you still have to pay for it” I was shocked at this response when I was very nice about my approach. I don’t expect a free meal but at least replacing it with something else would be...
