Absolutely the worse culvers location I've been to. This is not an exaggeration or a sudden reaction to an experience I had. I had 3 days to wait on a response regarding this issue before i made this review and still, the owner disregarded all red flags as though this is acceptable customer service. This location has Absolutely no sense of professionalism or understanding of customer service. Starting from the simple employees to the managers and directly from the owner. I am a police officer in another county and therefore had my kids pick up their food while i was at work. The App changed the location pickup location and immediately before the food was said to be ready, i called this Plant City Culvers to make them aware. I got hung up on 2x times, yelled and never given the opportunity to even explain the issue. Finally after calling the 3rd time, the manager was put on the phone and basically said it would just be my loss. Therefore, BEWARE if you place an order through the App and never receive your order, they will steal you money and not refund the order unless you make another trip to their location at given times. When you are a very busy person and live outside the city and even outside the county, this is extremely difficult to take time out to go to for just $30. The owner made no effort to even fix the issue nor acknowledge the wrongdoing of the 2 individuals (1 being the manager who refused to give her name and the other name Lori). He also wouldnt even take my address to send the refund and instead basically brushed it off like it was my problem, that i either do it his way or no way. Which explains why his employees are so TERRIBLE and have no customer service qualities. It comes directly from the owner. Oh and by the way, apparently since this location is not corporate owned, it is "okay" to treat people poorly because that's the way they do it at this location. We will never visit this location again, and hopefully this location will not be your first visit to Culvers because every other location takes customer service seriously, just not Plant City because the owner does not care for people...
Read moreCompared to other Culver's their is trouble brewing here and corporate should step in NOW before this franchise has to be closed! There is a quality control issue and staff are slow and somber at best. Visited location 1-20-22, around 1:30 pm, party of 3 and all ordered the fried fish dinner. Fish was hot and crispy for 2 of us and the other while hot, had un-cooked batter on the inside. Fries were warm and at borderline of acceptable. Slaw and roll were good. First Problem was the somber staff, no smile or greeting, just may I take your order. Food to table was a little slow and staff member was also somber and unfriendly. Upon leaving, there was one staff member coming in from curbside who did smile and said thanks for choosing Culver's. Compared to other Culver's, this was a real letdown! The prices are a bit higher at this chain but we come for the great service, excellent fast food, friendliness of staff and most of all the feeling that our business was earned and appreciated. Reading the other reviews here, it is obvious that this location has some issue's with staff and consistent food quality. It seems apparent that this is a management/owner situation as employee's will perform to the expectations of the leadership they are provided. One final note, this was the first restaurant I have been to since Covid began where not one staff member could be seen wearing a mask. This is my hometown and I hope this location will get back on track and start to meet the high standards of this corporations goals for quality and friendliness.
6-28-22 Update: I received a response from corporate along with coupons, but I have never used them since reviews of this franchise continue to be a mixed bag 6 months later. I really love a good Culvers but this location is dragging the chain down with its spotty performance. The owners say they are having trouble finding staff. I say "good" ones are far and few between too! I hope they get it sorted out as I am tired of telling my visitor friends we don't have a Culvers, only...
Read moreWorst service ever. The drive thru partner, Nicholas, was completely rude and dismissive. When he tossed my change at me, he literally tossed it and the coins scattered on the ground. Nicholas was aware and didn't acknowledge or apologize. When I brought it to his attention, along with the fact that he neither greeted me or thanked me, his only response was to ask "What would I have thanked you for?" 😠 I responded with " My business, or for being your customer?" Nicholas rolled his eyes and smirked, then said " You have a good night now" then shut the window and walked away. I attempted to go into the location but the doors are locked at 10:00 p.m. so I was unable to speak to a manager. I called the location 10 times and received a message that their answering machine was full and could not take messages. On my 11th call I was able to speak to the owner who stated he was shocked by this as normally Nicholas is such a people person. I find this hard to believe as I have been a customer of Culver's since 1990 and never experienced such blatant disregard for customer service. However,Since that's my first incident of such low and terrible service I do intend to revisit this location and complete every survey. If I should ever run into Nicholas again I am guaranteeing you that I will make myself available to management to discuss not only his rudeness but his incompetence. Sad day for Culver's because normally Culver's is exceptional with their...
