Starting with the positive aspects, the ambiance is very cozy, warm, and cute - decorated with a lot of heart. The service is generally good and friendly.
On the other hand the food is absolutely flavorless. We ordered two appetizers (one fresh roll with shrimp and beef and one with tofu) - neither the rolls nor the peanut sauce had any flavor. The peanut sauce was more like peanut water. For entrees my friend had the combo pho and I had the vegetarian pho. Neither had one single vegetable (yes, a vegetarian pho with only noodles and tofu). That MAY have been somewhat acceptable if the broth and/or proteins were seasoned (i.e. so ok, no variety of substance, but at least flavor). However, that was not the case. It was protein and scallions in tap water.Over 30 years eating Pho all over the world, including three years in Asia, and I have only had ONE bowl that was just as flavorless, but it at least also had some veggies. If you do eat here, don't bother with ordering the large or extra large bowl, they are only 2/3- 3/4 full anyway(which doesn't really matter if the food is barely edible, but don't waste your money). Obviously, we will not...
Read moreI have been coming here for a few years now. I know authentic foods because I grew up on it. Not microwaved dinners, not instant cooked meals or canned meats & veges. I am familiar with pho and its ingredients. This restaurant 100% meets the expectations of real pho! If you only had pho once, sorry not sorry but your opinion isn’t valid :-) stick with what you know. I noticed in one of the post, poorly worded. Mentioned the meat was raw, It’s common sense to know that broth cooks the meat and you have to mix it (anyone who’s familiar with fine dining understands the quality of certain rawness in different meats). Although, in this case… again the “hot broth” slow cooks the meat. Those who know how to cook understand the science of cooking know this. It won’t look like beef in a Taco Bell chalupa or steak from Miami Subs’ philly cheese. Most importantly, I highly recommend this restaurant, the pho here is phenomenal and the best in...
Read moreFull disclaimer as I purchased a Local Flavor coupon and I am glad I did. I stopped in for lunch with two of my besties and we all enjoyed it. When we arrived for lunch, the place was practically empty. We looked around and instantly liked the decor and the vibe. Angela immediately greeted us and made some great suggestions. We started with the Sai Gon Crepe which was filled with with chicken, shrimp, bean sprouts, & onions. It was a really good starter. One friend had the Shaken Beef Fried Rice and he said it was good. Another friend and I each had the soups, Pho Ga and Pho Tom, chicken and shrimp, respectively. It was flavorful and filling. We also had a Thai Ice Tea, compliments of my Yelp Check In. Everything was truly good and looking forward to returning in the near future. BTW, as we were leaving, the restaurant was quite busy and following Covid...
