Danos Pizza & Subs — Restaurant in Plastow

I've been going to Dano's for decades at this point. But, no more...

I only give a 1 star rating because I simply cannot go lower.

Tonight I ordered food from them for delivery. About an hour and a half later, still didn't have food. Went to go to call them back, and realized I had missed calls from Danos -- phone was accidentally on silent.

Called them back, they said the driver was "pounding on the door" and tried calling me. Well, okay sure, my phone was on silent. But, I was literally sitting next to my front door, nobody came to it - NOR DID MY DOG BARK. This dog barks at his own shadow..... Nobody came to my house.

So they had the driver come back out. 30 minutes later, still no driver. I call to cancel the order, and the dude on the phone will not let me cancel and said the driver was on his way. I'm fed up at this point, and when the driver shows up, I reject the food and send him on his way.

10 minutes later, Dano's calls me back and the manager is SCREAMING at me and blaming me. When I reminded him that if his driver went to the correct house THE FIRST TIME (which, by the way, my house is VERY easy to find and the house number is clearly marked), he wouldn't have tried to call me a million times.

Part of my job is customer service. I would NEVER talk to a client or customer in the manner this manager spoke to me. He was completely unwilling to accept that his driver did not go to the correct house, and threatened to charge my card anyway before hanging up.

I WILL be disputing this will my bank, and Dano's will never receive another cent from me. Which sucks, because it's a place I've been going to since I was...

I normally don't review negatively unless things go horrible wrong. Well it did. Went to this shop because the Pizza shop next door was full. Now I know why . The woman behind the counter could barley speak English and had a wicked attitude like I was putting her out. She made eye contact with me but continued to do other work rather than take my order and get it in. I ordered a steak and cheese BOMB and when it was handed to me I went back to work and opened it to find out not the bomb but just a shaved steak and cheese with a lot of hard gristle. They didn't offer a receipt or any type of order number. after payment. No time during my set lunch hour to go back an complain in person this will have to do. This woman needs some customer...

Called in an order, was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. I arrive in 30 minutes, wait 40 more minutes in the store and food was still NOT done. Turns out they never made two plain hamburgers (2 of 5 things ordered) and didn’t even start cooking them the entire time I was in the store despite the cashier telling the cook the order was missing two burgers TWO times! I kindly asked to speak with the manager and asked if I could get refunded for the burgers I have been waiting for the last hour. Instead he refunded my entire order and told me to leave. Wow speechless. This all took place at 5pm and wasn’t particularly busy. Will NEVER come...
