We have lived in Plaistow for about six years, we eat out quite often. I have to say there are a lot of fantastic restaurants in the area, this is not one of them. The food is sub par quality at best. The staff is extremely slow and unfriendly to borderline rude. I’d speak on management, but I can’t because the manager completely ignored us. He did however address the table next to us, who also had a complaint. So last night after an extremely long and busy week we decided to dine in at PPP. In hindsight I wish we went to ricks cafe in Kingston. Or literally anywhere else. Even the longhorn down the street is by far leaps and bounds better than PPP. Whatever we sit down in the bar area. It’s cute it’s clean can’t be that bad right?! Nope, wrong. I ordered a Cobb salad with no chicken extra avocado. You might think it’s strange, at least our waitress did. As she pressed me to order meat on my salad and had a rude tone when I stood my ground on my decision. Now, I manage a kitchen on a daily basis. ITS HOT. Some days I don’t even eat in the afternoon because I’m too hot and I definitely don’t have the ability to eat anything heavy. We wanted over an hour and a half from start to finish and I ate nothing. She served me a pile of bruised avocados and had a huge attitude when I sent it back. She tried to explain that it’s not rotten, just bruised. I’ve seen avocados before, but thanks for the explanation as to why I shouldn’t be concerned.”It’s not rotten it’s just bruised” to that I should have relied AWESOME! I’ll just pay $18 for lettuce and bruised avocados! No, no one wants to sit for an hour and a half to receive low quality food. Additionally, when I asked for the check the waitress shortly responded, that’s what I’m doing. Oh, ok! Looked like you walked past our table six times to ask other customers about their meals. That’s why I asked for the bill. Because it had been an hour and a half and I still hadn’t eaten. It was almost 9pm before I got home and made myself a salad. I will refrain from endorsing this establishment. How...
Read moreFrom the moment we were seated, the experience at PPC Kitchen and Bar was marked by truly excellent service. Our server immediately made a strong impression, demonstrating a perfect blend of high professionalism and personal attention. They were proactive and engaging without being intrusive, ensuring all our needs were met from start to finish. This high level of warm, genuine hospitality is increasingly rare in the restaurant industry and deserves special recognition, setting a wonderful tone for the entire meal. The kitchen matched the exceptional service with equally high-quality food. We started with appetizers that were perfectly executed, clearly made with precision and care. When the main meals arrived, we were immediately impressed; every dish was well-made, beautifully presented, and highly appealing. Most importantly, the main dishes were incredibly flavorful, showcasing a mastery of ingredients and technique. It was clear that the chefs prioritize both taste and visual perfection in their creations. While the atmosphere is perhaps standard restaurant fare, lacking any particularly unique or striking features, it was completely overshadowed and made up for by the quality of the service and cuisine. PPC Kitchen and Bar proves that the dining experience rests on great food and great people, not just decor. If you are looking for a place that delivers on both unparalleled hospitality and genuinely delicious, beautiful food, this is an establishment that you should...
Read moreMy wife and I went for the first time Saturday night. It won't be the last! We got a small pizza, buffalo wings, and baked haddock. The wings were enormous - probably the largest I had ever seen, and I've been eating wings for decades. The sauce was delicious - hot with just a touch of sweetness. The pizza was amazing. The crust was airy and chewy. The crust could have been a little crispier to my tastes, so I may ask for well done next time, but that's a personal preference. Pepperoni and cheese were perfect. Baked haddock delicious, and the side veggies included mushrooms and zucchini. Everything cooked perfectly! Service was lightning fast - so surprising for any restaurant these days, especially on a Saturday night. I was shocked when the food came out; they must have started on our order immediately. The waitperson was attentive without being overbearing. At one point, I realized I was going to need more napkins because of those delicious wings. I had planned to ask her the next time she came by, but she came by within about a minute with more napkins already in her hand. Do they hire psychics? 😊 PPC Italian may not be the cheapest place out there – you can probably find an order of eight buffalo wings for less money elsewhere, for example - but those cheaper wings won’t be nearly as large. In terms of value, PPC...
