My wife and I just got back from eating here for the first time. It won't be our last. It's our new favorite restaurant! I got the Beef Pho, and my wife got the Pad See Ew. Both were delicious beyond description. And huge proportions, all reasonably priced. You will get two meals out of the entrees, for sure! The owner, Mama Lao, took the time to explain to us her philosophy of being kind to everyone while serving only the most authentic Lao and Thai dishes. She said it was her goal to duplicate the experience of eating in a restaurant in Laos or Thailand itself. So, you won't see the types of decorations and colors (Buddhas, yellows and reds) you might see at similar restaurants in the US, because you would not see that in Laos or Thailand. She also says she does not compromise on ingredients, even if they are not readily available in the US, and substitutes would be cheaper. Mama Lao clearly has a big heart and cares about her customers and the experience she is delivering. I'm already dreaming of my next visit. I only wish they had a frequent diners club, because we will surely be that!

If you’re looking for an authentic, family-owned restaurant serving incredible Lao and Thai cuisine, this little spot in Plaza, New Hampshire, is a must-visit. It’s a small and personal space—not a place for large parties or a bustling bar scene—but what it lacks in size, it more than makes up for in quality and charm. The food is nothing short of outstanding—some of the most authentic Lao and Thai dishes I’ve ever had. Every bite was a testament to their dedication to traditional flavors and high-quality ingredients. What sets this restaurant apart, though, is the exceptional service. The family that owns and operates the place goes above and beyond to make every diner feel special. Their attention to detail, personal touches, and genuine hospitality—stopping by every table to ensure everything is perfect—create an unforgettable dining experience. If you’re craving authentic, no-frills Lao and Thai food in a cozy, family-run setting, this restaurant is the place to go. It has quickly become my favorite spot for this type of cuisine. Highly recommend it!

Amazing Thai restaurant with great food. Pretty small menu but everything we had was made well. Initially hard to spot the restaurant becuase the name is only on the window but it's there. Small restaurant that offers dine in and take out. My buddy and I were seated right away by the very nice host and also took our order. My friend is vegetarian and the staff went out of their way to make it vegetarian friendly by excluding fish sauce from his dish. He said it still tasted amazing. Spring rolls were great and my basil fried rice was just spicy enough. The staff here are all family and everyone came to greet us individually and check up on us. Truly a wonderful family business they got going here. Great food and great people. What more could you ask for? If you want authentic Thai food, definitely give this place a try

Edit: appreciate you getting back with us. We will give you another chance in future. Perhaps a day without the live music also, so we can enjoy peaceful meal after long week of work.

We had to walk out. Place had 2 tables on Friday evening - that were already half way done with their meals. We got seated and waited… and waited…. and waited… and waited…. and waited.

Finally someone noticed us and asked if we have been helped? We politely said, not yet. So a younger guy comes and takes our drink and app order. We told him, we will order main meals after we get the apps.

And we wait, AGAIN. 10 minutes later no drinks. 15 min later, no drinks. Place still have only 2 tables but now, the server is just sitting and doing nothing at the front desk.

So I finally asked if our drinks were ever coming? He looked confused and had a moment where he realized he never served us any of them. I mean common, you guys have 2 tables of 2 duces all together. Not even busy, yet not paying attention to new table at all?

We came here because of the good reviews and friend’s recommendation. We most likely won’t be back. 30 minutes drive for us to check new place. In meantime we could have drove 45 minutes to Manchester to Thai Food Connection, with top notch service and amazing food. So we are driving there now, because we know what to expect.

We might revisit in future, but doubtful.

Two more things, having guitar player on Friday evening in such a small space is bizarre experience. Chasing us on parking lot explaining yourselves, uhmmmm very uncomfortable experience.

We both came from restaurant industries and you folks have a lot to learn. Food is a huge part of your business, but without decent customer service, even good food won’t save...

I have eaten at a lot of restaurants across the country and this was the best experience I’ve ever had. We were in the area for a college graduation and had put in a large take out order and upon picking it up we learned there was going to be a wait. What set SaNouk’s apart was how they handled that wait. The restaurant was extremely busy with takeout orders and dine in guests, which speaks to the quality of food, leading to the wait, which was actually enjoyable. The employees were super kind and worked hard to ensure your experience was pleasant. From timely updates about your order, to the head chef knowing customers and addressing everyone by name, and finally ensuring your order was perfect, lead to a relaxed and kind atmosphere. All of the other customers waiting for food were extremely kind and patient and super appreciative of the staff and the amazing quality of food they produce. What set the bar, was when the chef came from the kitchen and asked me to try the food (had asked for a dietary restriction) to ensure it was to my liking prior to finishing off and packing up the dish. He was so passionate about his cooking that he wanted to let us know that we should call if anything was not to our liking and let them know how everything was. I am now taking the time to say that everything was amazing and delicious! If you are looking for fantastic Thai and Lao food or just amazing food in general be sure to stop by SaNouk’s! A lot of times customer service is poor or neglected in such a fast paced environment, but the amazing staff at SaNouk’s focuses on high quality service and food that has customers leaving with a smile on your face! We will definitely be returning for the incredible food and...

My partner and I had an amazing Sunday lunch here! We found the restaurant online by chance and decided to give it a try. We arrived and were instantly greeted warmly. I felt like we were family being looked over by my aunt/uncle. They were so considerate of our needs and carefully explained the tableware and sauces for our consideration. The menu offered lots of choices -- some familiar to us and others to explore. We decided to try to order more than we could eat so we could try a variety of flavors. I ordered the Thai Ice Tea, definitely a good taste for those who are fans of tea and not too sweet which I preferred. We did order an appetizer (Spring Rolls) which was super crunchy and wrapped very tightly. For the main courses, we had the the Peppered Steak, Spicy Basil Fried Rice, Yellow Curry and Pho. All dishes were very different and packed a punch of flavor! It's difficult to put into words our favorite, because truthfully we were blown away. Though there was something so special and delicious about the fried rice, 10 out 10 amazing taste. The owners did check on us a couple times and even shared some history and language with us. Before we left we did try a dessert, the fried cheesecake. The coconut ice was delicious and creamy while the cheesecake itself was crispy on the outside with a lovely soft inside. To add a cherry on top it had banana, which I LOVE! To our surprise the owners even gave us a free crab rangoon's to try at home.Over all we had the best lunch and had plenty for left over to savor again. It warmed our hearts how sweet and nice they were. Without a doubt we'll be here again and bring company. Thank you again for the great service...
