I have tried virtually every breakfast restaurant you can think of, and most of them I have tried many times. Nobody comes close to The Owl. Food quality, prices, service, and atmosphere, are unmatched. In particular, if you are picky about hashbrown potatoes, The Owl is one of the last restaurants where you will find freshly grated hashbrowns. Even Country Kitchen has switched to freeze-dried hash browns that come in a box like a box of cereal and are then reconstituted with water in batches to prepare for the next day of cooking. Not at The Owl—real potatoes! Some places use frozen shredded potatoes, which are a little better than freeze-dried, but they have preservatives that I can taste. I enjoyed listening to fish stories and the small town chit chat that I grew up with. I...

I stopped and had the Philly cheesesteak omelette and hashbrowns with cheese and onions and let me tell you the food was amazing. Cooked with fresh ingredients, fluffy egg, real steak like you'd expect from a Philly cheesesteak sangwich, fresh peppers, and the hashbrowns with cheese and onions was just fantastic. Best I've had in a while. Had a wonderful conversation with the owners, definitely a great place to...
