VFW Club Bar Grill — Restaurant in Platteville

Date of visit: Friday, March 29, 2024 Fun little bar in downtown Platteville. Parking on street as well as next to the VFW. We went mainly for the Friday Fish Fry, so did not bother looking at other menu options. Got the 4 piece cod dinner, which includes coleslaw or cottage cheese, fries or baked potato, breadstick and dessert for $13. Service was quick. Food was good. Atmosphere is fun. in the morning, this place happens to be the local coffee clutch for all of the senior citizen men. I absolutely love that they take care of them all. The noon crowd is typically your workers grabbing a half an hour lunch. During this time, I recommend getting the special as it's already made up and you're sure to get it with in your half an hour lunch break. Overall, I appreciate this place as it supports multiple...

It's a good little bar with good prices. ¢50 tacos on taco Thursday's are awesome. It's an ok little family scene if you get there for an early dinner, with large tables and more seating in the back. Definitely mixed ages, which is to be expected because it's a VFW, but I have always felt more than comfortable being there. I had no problem referring people there when I worked at a hotel here in Platteville....
