I did puppy training with Kellsey right away when I got my puppy--even though she is an "easy breed" and I thought I was prepared, there were so many challenges I had right from the start when I brought my puppy home. At the first puppy training session, Kellsey immediately curbed the puppy biting and jumping. At each training dropoff, I was able to tell Kellsey what I was struggling with, and she would immediately work on those specific things with my dog, and then at pickup, would teach me how to enforce what she had taught my dog. I don't think I would have survived through the puppy days without Kellsey. My puppy also got to be exposed to other well behaved adult dogs that were there for daycare during her training, so she got positive dog exposure from a young age. We continued on with some doggy daycare and a longer board and train at an older age, which further developed her puppy fundamental skills. Now that my dog is 1 year old, I look back and I realize what a great idea it was to start with puppy training right away, because now when she goes to doggy daycare or I go on vacation and need to board my dog, my dog knows Kellsey, and Kellsey knows my dog well. My dog knows exactly what is expected of her and knows how to appropriately interact with the other dogs at boarding because Kellsey has taught her the expectations of this since the very start. Now when I go out of town, I am bringing my dog to a person I trust, who I know gets all the boarding dogs out for extensive exercise and play. Mia at the Main Street storefront is so friendly and kind and knows the customers and dogs personally and easily communicates with calls or texts. She helped me talk through and problem solve some puppy problems I was having, and recommended products, and helped me pick out the food that works best for my dog, and she keeps it ordered for me. She has even offered to have food bags dropped off right at my doorstep during times that are busy for me when it's hard to get to the store. Jaxin is a very skilled groomer and after my dog's first haircut, my vet was impressed with how even the cut was and asked me where I went for grooming. All of the Elite Canine services have truly helped me get through the first year with my dog, and are the reason I have a well-behaved one-year-old dog today. Elite Canine is a much needed woman-owned and women-run business in town and they do everything well and with...
Read moreI brought both of my 1 year old corgis to get groomed. My older one went first and she came out looking fine. My younger corgi had the later appointment and when she came out her eye was almost swollen shut. No mention of anything from the groomer when my fiance picked them up. We have flushed her eyes many times but her eye is still swollen shut 18 hours later. I have left voicemails to see what’s going on but they have only one number. Now having to take her to the vet to hopefully find out what is going on. This is the first time my dogs have ever been groomed and after this whole nightmare of an experience I would never recommend this place to another dog owner. Very sad you take your babies to a business which should be able to handle this but then they come out hurt and will be untrusting of strangers for...
Read moreI'm so grateful for Elite Canine! My dog, Poppy, completed a 2 week board and train with them when she was about a year old. Her off-leash recall was greatly improved after that and continues to be even now at almost 4 years old. I feel so much more confident in her recall and she has so much more freedom now thanks to their training!
The daycare and overnight boarding is also fantastic. Poppy comes home happy and tired after playing all day, and I know she's in good hands with Kellsey. They always post plenty of pictures and videos as well so I can see just how much fun she's having away from home! I highly recommend Elite Canine to...
