Walgreens — Local services in Platteville

This is normally a good pharmacy and the workers are wonderful to deal with. However, we live around 40 minutes away and recently our regular prescriptions we have been getting for years they are "out of" which makes it a real mess when it's a Friday pm and no way to contact your doctor to have sent to another pharmacy and worse when these are opoids for chronic pain. This is our other latest experience ; As we had to be seen at the ER clinic on a late Monday afternoon we were both given prescriptions. Walgreens confirmed receipt of the prescriptions on our app and it was 5:56 pm when they showed as ready. So we get to Walgreens shortly before 6:30 and there's a sign in the window that they closed at 6:00 due to no pharmacist on duty. This is not the first time this has happened and it's unacceptable as a common practice which is becoming evident. You are a PHARMACY! That should be your primary concern, to provide medications and health products to the residents in the area. You need to employ qualified persons to cover every shift so your not closing for entire days (Fridays) which you can't seem to cover or after 6 pm which is becoming common. WE RELY ON YOU! Walmart has made a feel Extremely uncomfortable due to their tendency to hire racist employees. There was a white male employee who stared me down the entire time I was at self-check. I forgot an item so I left my cart at the checkout, paying for all the items that I had already bagged. Leaving my recipe in the machine, in such a rush to get home. Once I returned to my cart where I had left at self-checkout, the white male who was staring at me told me that I had forgotten to pay for my water and that he checked my receipt. I told him I did pay for my water then I grabbed my recipe and showed him exactly where I had paid for my water. I felt like the man was going to hold me hostage for the items that I BOUGHT! I say this because he then tells the employee at the exit/entrance that I am allowed to go. I already have extremely bad anxiety. Not a happy person at this moment never had issues until the last month my prescriptions. I'm so over walgreens I've been off my diabetic shots for a month due to either my pa form is lost or my doc office hasn't sent it over yet or it was expired but then I was then told it was sent to my insurance for approval on Wednesday called Tuesday to be told we just got the PA from your doc we're sending it in to insurance. I said excuse me I was told it was sent over last week are you kidding going a month without shots and I'm not feeling the best you guys have messed up my script over the last month she said we were sorry we were waiting on doctors office I told her do you realize everything is documented when you received the paperwork she said I'm sorry well sorry don't help me from feeling better they tried to blame doc office nope not their fault!!!
