Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Pleasant Prairie

So to start, I am definitely an advocate for supporting local business. Tried our best throughout the lock down.

With that being said...we decided to go to Chili's for lunch, got seated right away. They are definitely following the social distancing guidelines. The restaurant was not really crowded, we chose to sit in the bar area, they had 2 servers working 4 tables along with 2 separate parties sitting at the bar. Our server was also tending bar, she took our drink order, approximately 10 minutes before she came back with iced teas, I asked for sweetener.

We ordered lunch, waited almost 30 minutes for our appetizer which was delivered by the same gentlemen working the take out. He dropped the app, no plates and still no sweetener. We ordered the loaded boneless wings, which is served on a cast iron hot plate. The queso was not hot, it was kind of congealing, our server was delivering food to one of the FOUR tables she had, she walked right past our table, never asking if we needed anything, if everything was OK, just walked right by. STILL NO SWEETENER! SO, we cut a chicken nugget in half, eating from the serving plate, because our server couldn't be bothered to serve us and provide plates so we could eat like civilized humans, and wouldn't you know it the chicken isn't even warm! Am I surprised? NOPE! Now our challenge is getting someone....anyone ones's attention to speak to because GOD FORBID the server who is overwhelmed by the 4 flipping tables that she's supposed to be providing service to.

We finally get the hosts attention and ask to speak with a manager. The manager was gracious, apologetic, she offered to personally take care of us, we chose to leave, she offered us a coupon, we still chose to leave. This was not about getting something for free. This was about supporting the local businesses in the community, how on EARTH do they expect people who have been locked down for 2 1/2 months to have any patience and understanding for substandard service?

I know my food sat for some time under a heat lamp before someone finally decided to deliver, SHAME ON THE KITCHEN FOR ALLOWING MY FOOD TO SIT SO LONG, THEN THINKING IT IS OKAY TO DELIVER IT! IS THERE NO INTEGRITY TOWARDS QUALITY AND SERVING FOOD THAT IS WITHIN A SAFE TEMPERATURE ZONE?

Truly disappointed by the lack of quality and standard of service. We have always enjoyed Chilis food and service. There is no excuse for the horrible service and substandard food that we were delivered and expected to eat. The restaurant wasn't even crowded for the limited seating they had available! Chili's, I love Chili's! But, I am so😆😡upset that you guys did away with the great tasting "Sweet" tasting BBQ sauces, that were very sweet and brought out the taste of the barbecue ribs!!

Chili's, Your "Regular Barbecue Sauce" is "NOT THAT GOOD." Why🤔?? It is "TOO DARN SPICY!"

There are CHILDREN who love barbecue too, but Chili's, your barbecue sauce is too spicy!

I have been eating at Chili's for many, many, many years and have seen the changes. I don't like the barbecue sauce..

Everyone does NOT like to eat all of this "Hot🔥& Spicy" food😨😡😠!

Also, why is it that Chili's stopped having the "Onion Blossom??"

The "onion scare" has been over for a few years now, so "What's😆The Problem?!

Chili's, One of your "competitors" serves the "Onion Blossom at their restaurant and their restaurant "stays full," because of the Onion Blossom being "ordered."

Please😐 get the "Onion Blossom" back! I used to go to Chili's all of the time with a big party of people and we always got the Onion Blossom.

Chili's, "Onion Strings" tend to always be "overcooked and they will "choke the life out of someone," believe me, because I "ALMOST" choked and that's why I stopped ordering them and have not been back to Chili's in over a year..

Chili's, 2 for $20 Meal is a great deal! But, Chili's really need to bring back the "old," "Sweet BBQ Sauces" as well.

And, I can guarantee, that Chili's will have MORE people coming BACK to Chili's, to once again, to enjoy the great sweet tasting barbecue sauces on their ribs!

Heck🙄😋, I make a great mild BBQ sauce!

Everyone who eats MY barbecue (no matter what kind of meat it's put on), ask me to make it and sell it to them!

Maybe😃Chili's can contract with me, to incorporate my "secret blend barbecue sauce" for the Chili's Corporation on a trial basis, huh🤔😁?

I love good tasting BBQ sauce on meat, that calls for barbecue sauce, but I hate barbecue sauces that's "tooo🔥😲😨😝😠HOT" to enjoy while trying to eat my meat! And, it's too hot🔥for "CHILDREN🙎🏽‍♂️😢🙎🏽‍♀️"as well..

I ended up leaving after being seated. We were fine with waiting for a table. The problem started after we were seated. The waitress didn't come to our table for 15 minutes. When she finally acknowledged us she asked if we wanted drinks. Of course we said yes and then she walked away without taking our drink orders. She talked to another coworker and greeted another table before she came back to our table. I told her our drink orders and said we were ready to order. She kept confusing the order and suddenly said she was not dumb. Ummm did I say you were? I was not speaking slow or annunciating my words. Then she proceeds to tell me she is getting her manager and walks away again without our order! We sat there for another 5 minutes while everyone around us, who were seated after us, got their drinks and had ordered. I watched her go to other tables and have conversations with her co workers! I asked to speak with a manager and was told she was busy. So after spending almost an hour at the restaurant I left with my party and went to another restaurant. I used to order from this restaurant on a regular basis. I will no longer be going due to the staff and the unprofessional attitude of the waitress. She should not be working in the service industry and she is terrible at her job. I asked to speak to a manager twice and was told the manager was busy plus she said she was calling the manager on me. I definitely do not recommend this particular restaurant.
