Went to the store today to buy some soda that was on sale. I did my shopping went to self checkout where I was greeted by a worker she came up and said I can scan your cases of soda so you donāt have to take each one out I said o great thank you. As she was scanning I was taking other stuff out the cart when I looked at the screen I noticed that the 24pack of soda was ringing up for $14.99 I called the girl back over and said hey I noticed the price is wrong she said o whatās the price supposed to be to be I said $9.99 thatās whatās online. She said I can change it for you mind you I showed her my phone and showed her the app of meijers so she can see the price she then said give me a second walks over and gets her lead Michele she comes over I explain everything to her show her my app. She then says i donāt what app your on because mine is coming up for $14.99 sheās like you must have a coupon or something I said no I donāt I donāt have nothing I cleared my cart from online added the items back they were still coming up as $9.99 so she scans it again with her phone and then goes to check out and guess what happens it comes out to $9.99 so now I come out and tell her well what code did you put in to get that price she goes I didnāt I said exactly neither did I. So I ask her to honor the price cause if I order for pick up Iām going to get it for that price but since Iām in person I said can I just get it for the $9.99 what was that for she was super rude got an attitude told me no and said no manager or anyone else would be able to approve that that thereās an issue with the app and that sheās going to call and let the correct people no about it. So I said can I get a manager she said she was in charge all to find out she was just a lead. This older lady who was shopping witness everything and she comes up to me and sheās apologizing to me for what Iām going through and this lady is just another customer so she didnāt have to say sorry. But she saw I was being mistreat by the empolyee. So I ask the first girl who was helping who is the store manager or the manager on duty right now she looks at her badge and says o we just got a new store manager then says one second walks over to the lady that was rude witch is team lead Michelle. And ask her and what was that for she got an attitude and started talking all rude so I walk up to listen and she tells the other girl call whoever I donāt care and she walks away so the girl gets on the phone and calls over Carrie front end manager I believe so sweet so nice I mean very professional I tell her everything that happens she apologize and she takes care of me and apologize to me. I shop here alot and this was just so bad that I wonāt return Iāll be driving down to oak creek instead. Truly didnāt appreciate how she treated me and Carrie didnāt seem shock when I told her the worker name so apparently sheās been rude to other as well. Ā Ā Ā Read moreDonāt get me wrong, I love Meijer BUT today on November 14th a little past 7pm Monday night in Kenosha the older lady working at the self check out straight up lied to me and told me with certainty that something wasnāt on sale when it was (just so she didnāt have to do any extra work and call someone for a price check) ...I had just came from the clothing section and seen the sign for my own eyes that it was on sale but it rung up wrong at the register and when I asked her to fix it she told me it wasnāt on sale and that I should have āread the fine printā on the signs and refused to help me further.. she made me feel like I was crazy.. thatās not right. So after I paid full price for the 2 tank tops (over 30$) I went back to look at the sign and what do you know! Iām not crazy and I was right! Everything of that brand was on sale except JEANS, NOT tank tops. So, I went to customer service and the nice young girl there was amazing, as expected, she helped me get the items for the right sale price and also told me that the lady at self check out was suppose to call someone for a price check in a situation like that not just tell me āNo itās not on saleā without making sure. Itās really sad that older ladies like this who obviously do not want to work have to still work and provide this poor customer service, I honestly pitty her and feel so bad for her because that is the first time in my life with a situation like this that I didnāt hear a kind voice say āYeah let me check that for you!ā Instead I got a very rude āNo itās not on sale, you should read the fine printā .. mind you, Iāve been buying these specific tank tops allll summer and probably have spent a good 100$ or more on them, they are very comfortable and I love them, so obviously I was happy to see them finally on sale since itās WINTER NOW! You know? Just a big disappointment in customer service at the register.. especially considering that I am a big time regular and shop here allllll the time! Always do right by everyone even while working a job, thatās what Iāve always done, because people who donāt end up like this miserable lady working a job she doesnāt like or want, but needs. I should have learned my lesson by now as I have been using Meijer for the past couple of years for my Twins Birthday Party. The first year they didnāt have my order when we went to pick it up the day of the party. The. The second time I used the Meijer in Green Bay instead of Kenosha thinking maybe we would have success. That was not the case, as they spelt Tyler wrong and the cake said Taylor, but The person that took down the order correctly wrote Tyler as it was on the order slip. The following year we went back to using the Meijer in Kenosha. I ordered different colored cupcakes with whipped frosting, all of the cupcakes were made with butter cream. I just let it go because at least I got the cupcakes and they were correct with the exception of the correct frosting type. This morning I received a message around 0720 stating my cake order was ready to be picked up. I had requested it for 1500 today. I sent my husband to go pick up the cake around 1430 today. It was a PokĆ©mon cake that I chose from their designs. The image is partially folded and wrinkled in various places. My husband asked the bakery if they could get the wrinkles out. The bakery attendant told my husband it would take about 30 minutes and he said he would wait. She then told him that she had to be in Racine by 1530 so she would just give him a discount. We were given a $12 discount. Iām absolutely appalled. The cake looks awful and this is what I have to present to all of the children and parent that will show up to my Childrenās Party tomorrow. I have officially learned my lesson and I will never again use Meijer bakery for a cake. I would highly suggest that no one else do so either, as clearly they rushed it as I did not need my cake until 3 oāclock this afternoon and they had it done by a little after seven this morning.
