Park Ridge Inn — Hotel in Kenosha

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. First when we got there in their tiny little office area they couldn't find my reservation and were trying to charge again. Then they charged us another 5 dollars because there was 3 people instead of 2 for a room with 2 beds. Then after finally finding my reservation we go to the room. The room smelt so bad. It smelt of smoke and cigarettes and you couldn't even breathe in the room. This made me and my parents very angry because we had specifically asked for a non-smoking room when booking online. Then the manager tried to move us next door. It still smelt like smoke but not as strong. We asked them if they could at least put air fresheners and air out the room. They said okay. And then we left to explore the city while the room was airing out. 3 hours later we come back to the room to stay for the night only to find out that the key didn't work. We went to the office and told the staff and they came and tried to unlock it and it still didn't work because there was someone else in there. They had given away our room. Then they tried to put us in the same room they tried to the first time and we refused. Then they said we could have the suite on the second level for 10 dollars more. And we refused and demanded a refund. These people were very rude for the entire interaction and asked us why we hadn't left or stuff in the room. There are bed bugs icky in my room! I fled my apartment because of bed bugs and my landlord is using a poison that 😷 caused me to loose the use p right hand and arm! It's a transient hotel and I am 56 years old and I have a walker and was absolutely clueless about bed bugs up until this past year! Hopefully I'll be checking out today! Don't stay at this place! I can't believe trip advisor backs a like this! I wished their rooms looked like thier website! Far cry from that! It's infested with bed bugs!! They were everywhere and on everything! I have never seen a bed bug move like this! I suffered side effects from the poison ONSLAUGHT it's used to kill bed bugs but it can kill human beings too if not sprayed correctly!! Like my landlord Rob Greskoviak! I fled my apartment because my doctor said that I'd be better living in a cardboard box than staying in the poison house! At first this woman told me I brought them ya right! I still don't have complete control and use of my right hand and arm! And guess what they sprayed ONSLAUGHT too! Absolutely disgusting. I could not possibly sleep in their "Queen" room the day before my marathon. Ended up sleeping on top of a towel laid out because the bed sheets looked so dirty. And I have slept in many cheap motels before but I haven't seen anything worse than this place. They also totally ripped us off, advertised their two queen beds room as $59.99, and when we got there argued that the website had an error and the price is actually $80. Told us to get a refund from the booking accommodation website and won't let us sleep unless we pay the suddenly-jacked up requested price. On top of this, they demanded to take a picture of my license on their personal iphone (reason being their scanner ran out of ink which makes no sense), which I found very uncomfortable and even creepy. When we actually did try to get a refund, then they lied to the accommodation website company that we brought four people (we had a total of three) and the extra charge was for the extra people. Then they very kindly let us know, two days later we stayed, that for a TWO queen bedroom the maximum capacity is TWO people, and an extra person will be charged extra amount.
