Gravastar Coffee (Formerly Coffee Hound) — Restaurant in Pleasant Valley Township

While visiting the QC area from out of town, we stopped by for a late morning treat! We always try to support locally-owned and operated businesses and Gravastar did NOT disappoint!

I like flavor without a lot of extra “stuff” in my coffee, including little to no cream. The barista acknowledged this and recommended the Peanut Butter Pup custom cold brew, Black. It was absolutely delicious!!!

My daughter loves Caramel and chocolate and the barista recommended a California Dream, which is caramel sauce and white chocolate. It received rave reviews from a super picky teen!

My tween son ordered an Orange July-Us smoothie which was fervently consumed and declared to be “Amazing!”

To eat, we also ordered a BAE Breakfast Sammie - it was scrumptious - and a Chicken Bacon Ranch flatbread pizza. Both of these tasted like they were from a restaurant and came out piping hot and packed with flavor. You could tell they were hand-made with care and they were delicious!!!

The ambiance at Gravastar is also so well-constructed. You can tell it was designed and created with intention and clarity that supports their vision and theme very well.

This is for the Bettendorf library location. Upon arriving the boy working the counter was talking on the phone with his girlfriend so I went to put my bag on a table and the table was extremely sticky and dirty. I understand if you're busy and may not be able to clean the table right away but the boy was talking on the phone and the store was nearly empty. I walked to the counter and he continued to talk for almost a minute before putting the phone down. I ordered my drink and before he started to make my drink he began to text on his phone for another minute and then went to clean a table. Another customer came in and he made her drink immediately, he hadn't even started my drink which I had ordered first. I would understand since her drink may have taken less time than mine but he had been texting on his phone after I had ordered mine. He left the rag and spray on a table from earlier so I ended up cleaning the table myself. Got the frosted coffee, not bad but I don't see myself coming back because from my experience most coffee hound locations don't have good...

I had never been here before. A freind of mine got me a bag of coffee for Christmas from here and it was a flavor I dont care for. So my wife went here and ask if it would be possible to exchange for a different flavor . They were so rude to her about it. Questioning her. She said you could tell in there voice they didnt wanna do it. And they said yeah but you can pick from what's on the shelf witch was full beams did not offer to grind it up or anything for her. I was always considering going there but after this I'll never buy coffee there and will never recommend this place. First impression mean everything sometimes in this case it just lost them customers. Very disappointed. If they didnt wanna do it all they had to do was say no exchanges and that would have been fine. Being rude about it does not solve it. Honestly I'd rather they said no then treat...
