To be honest, my first impression of this place was not great. My husband ordered drive-through and asked for sauce on the side 3 times and the employee continued to get it wrong. So, instead of making a big fuss ,he dealt with it. But was honestly too much sauce, and as it was my first experience I really didn't know what the flavors were or anything. I remember feeling sad because it had such enormous potential, but the overwhelming amount of sauce ruined everything. But, that was then and this is now.
I convinced my husband to give it another shot and we dined in w/ our 2 kiddos (tweens) who, let's be honest, never agree on anything and one of course, is unhappy to be there 😅
Anyway, my husband and I both had the 40 oz. veggie bowls with all the things and. I actually wanted the mini bowl, but the computer kiosk program thing wouldn't let me add additional fresh toppings, so I said, that's fine, I will just have leftovers. Let me tell you, I was not paying attention to how big the 40 oz bowl is... And they are huge 😅
One of my kiddos had the kids size bowl with 4 veggies/protein toppings and the other one (who didn't "want anything here") got the fries with cheese, chicken and green onions, with the latter making him realize they were not as good choice, but he was also eating fires for dinner so he knew not to push it 🙃
Anyway, everything was very good and surprisingly fresh and healthy! I actually had a mom win (for once) because one ate the entire kids bowl with the veggies, while the other kid at least ate something with some substantial amount of protein (grilled chicken that even he admitted he really liked) and yes, it was atop a bed of French fries with melted cheese and chives, but at least the chives were fresh and the cheese was real, not globbed on from a can. I will take all the little wins I can get 🥳
Anyway, all in all, the only thing anyone could really complain about was having a stomach ache from eating too much. In the end, we still had enough left over for another entire family meal... which also meant that was one less meal I had to make that my kids wouldn't eat anyway 🤷🏼♀️ Wins all around here!
P.S. the cinnamon stuffed pancake is absolutely amazing. Yes, it was about $4 ... But it...
Read moretldr; spent $15 on flavorless rice, chicken, and vegetables that still somehow managed to upset my stomach
i usually dont leave reviews, but the food here genuinely upset me. maybe this was an off day, not sure, i dont live around the area so i probably wont be back around to give it a second chance even if i wanted to. i try to dismiss it but im already alarmed by places that have a "modern" and "hip" wannabe feel to them. let me start off with saying the portion size is not bad at all, its a decent amount of food which is great. i got the son son whatever chicken bowl. i wasnt expecting a lot of spice or anything just from the building aesthetic alone, and there wasnt, but there wasnt much of ANYTHING. the signature sauce they have was okay, it had a bit of good flavor to it. though, 85% of the bowl is rice, which would not be an issue if anything else in it besides the sauce had an atom of seasoning. the bowl was also a smidge above being able to be classified as lukewarm. it was $15 alone. i get prices having to be higher, especially for smaller chain businesses but there has to be a trade off, you cant do expensive food AND have no flavor.
also sorry this last part is just me, but the fact that there is a thing called kimchi fries on the menu alone is enough for me to want to forcibly raise my blood pressure to have a stroke. Using CRINKLE CUT FRIES on said menu item though? that should be classified...
Read moreIn a nutshell, this food truck is a diamond in a sea of glass. The value of the food here is exceptional and is worthy of every penny spent and more.
To start with the food itself, the flavor is phenomenal. With every bite bursting with it, and with an impressive display of texture, it's hard not to try to eat the whole thing in one sitting. For my own visit, I got the Loaded Fries with steak. Despite having regular crinkle cut fries in it, I completely forgot about it from the first bite. Every bite made me pause to savor the flavor.
Doubling up on the flavors, the portion size is amazing. You get enough food that you can't possibly finish it in one sitting. I had enough to enjoy it two more times before I was out. Topping everything off, the display is beautiful. What the cooks hand out to you is both an incredible meal and a breathtaking piece of art.
Overall, this food truck is top tier. For getting as much food as you can get for the same price at a dollar menu, you also get quality rivaling that of big time restaurants. In an instant, this food has become a favorite of mine. I encourage everyone to give this place a try and discover this diamond for yourselves!
