Editing this review to essentially say that the Bill Miller organization as a whole seems to care about their customer base, but there's definitely room for improvement. It's just not this store that has problems, as I had another issue at an entirely different store (the southernmost store that's near Corpus Christi) and it seems that most of management cares, but they could probably do a better job of training the individuals that work at the respective restaurants. Leadership starts at the top - take care of your people.
Visited for take out, two nights in a row Saturday 9/10/23 & Sun 9/11/23. 9/10 was the first time I've ever been to a Bill Miller's. I was greeted on Saturday by a cashier who was very, very, very helpful, kind, and patient who answered all of my questions, and she politely upselled as well. Ordered a 4 PC dark w/slaw instead of fries, a side of potato salad, and rice. Also got a sausage link, and a sweet tea. Everything tasted delicious, even though I had to wait an hour after finally parking my semi to be able to eat it. The sausage was the only thing I wasn't particularly fond of, as it seemed to be dry. It had good flavor, but too much of a "snap" to it. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the barbecue sauce was like none I've ever tasted, with a ketchupy/babecuey tang that left me wanting more, and seeing if it was sold in stores locally. The slaw was vinegar based (which I love) and had some of the juice in the container, which was tasty. The rice was tender and not dry, and the potato salad was perfectly cooked. Even the ice tea was pretty awesome, not very sweet at all, but sweet enough.
I loved it so much, that I came back the same time Sunday, only to be disappointed.
The same cashier was working, and she was just as polite as she was the day before. With the exception of the tea, and sausage, along with a order of a half pound of ribs, the order was the same. Except it wasn't.
The chicken was the only good thing. I was told because I ordered the ribs, I would get extra sauce, which I was looking forward to. After choking down the pork jerky (ribs), I had, I sure wished I had some of that sauce, because all I got was a small cup like the day before. They were the toughest ribs I've ever eaten. The slaw, rice, and even the potato salad, seemed to be deprived of moisture at all. It was like I got the leftovers from the day before, after they sat out overnight.
Not to sure why the consistency was really off so much, and I'm not sure if it's worth a third try. It's hard to get stuff out after the order is already given to you, since I'd still like everything to be packaged nicely before I can stop somewhere to eat it, where the food is still as warm...

I have food allergies. There's many things I can't eat and one of them is chicken bought at a restaurant. Except for Bill Miller's. They are the ONLY place that serves fried chicken that I can eat. If you haven't tried their fried chicken you're missing out. Their chicken tenders are the best I've had anywhere, ever.
This location is really good too. We're from out of the area and we're white as compared to most patron's being Hispanic. But we've been there around 10 times over the past few weeks and besides the courteous service, we haven't had one meal messed up or any errors at all. Whenever the food is going to take a while to cook, they let us know as well. In fact we've had better than average service here compared to other Bill Miller's. It's quite a pleasure for someone to think of something you need before you need it and that's happened here.
Keep up the good work people! Really like the courteous staff who can talk to anyone. It's a testament to good management and high standards ...

Tried again - Same incompetent staff - told me to wait our front - i asked and confirmed that's what the teenager wanted me to do -i parked straight ahead - teenager was incoherent when on drive through mic - also at window - except wen she was trying to sell me a whole box of chicken for 2$. Drove up as asked, it was 9:00 pm - at 9:10 pm I called to remind them I was out there - they clarified my order - 5 minutes later the manager came out - sorry! she said but they thought i drove off so they tossed my order and had already "broke Down " other food so they couldn't fill my order, did I want a rain Check? said i wanted a refund. So nothing has changed - incompetent rude teenager staff and evidently not well managed! STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU WANT TO OVERPAY - GET WRONG ORDERS AND DEAL WITH UNEDUCATED HIGHSCHOOLERS GIVING YOU SERVICE THAT HAVEN'T HAD THE STUPID TRAINED...
