My family and I visited Saturday at around 5pm. The service was excellent and the food was delightful. We haven't been since the new owners took over and I was a bit sceptical, but we were pleasantly surprised. We were seated right away and the server immediately came and took our drink orders. She was not just polite but also friendly and warm and she took notice of the children, which is always a plus for me. We ordered the pan seared dumplings for our appetizer and they were perfect. Slightly crispy on the bottom with tender wrapping on the tops. The pork inside was juicy and flavorful without getting everywhere and the dipping sauce was tangy and salty. They arrived quickly as well and were the perfect temperature to enjoy quickly without burning our mouths. The kids menu had a decent variety and very good portions. They also came with soup, which was a pleasant surprise to me! The egg drop soup was steaming hot, rich, and smooth with crisp bites of chopped green onion garnish. We ordered the cherry chicken, beef & scallions Mongolian style, chicken and beef lo mein, teriyaki chicken, and sweet and sour shrimp. Everything came out right after we finished our appetizers, hot and fresh. Tender noodles, juicy chicken, and scallions cooked to perfection. I wad worried about the cherry chicken, I thought it would be too sweet, but it was pleasant and accompanied the rice delightfully. There wasn't an abundance of grease or a burnt edge in sight. The waitress was very attentive and took great care of us. I might miss some of the old menu items however, the new items that replace them truly make up for it. We will...

We had the sweet and sour chicken dinner special. Our order was to go. I phoned in the order and the phone rang for quite a while before it was answered. The person that answered the phone had an attitude like I was bothering her. I realize people have bad days but since people like me are the reason she has a job maybe she should work on her phone skills. The food was good as always. I will not go and eat at the restaurant because I would not want to inconvenience them. I would go to another chinese restaurant if possible. This is the only one in Pleasanton besides one that has buffet and I don't really care for buffet. This is an update on 20 Dec 2022. We went on Saturday for dinner. We decided to dine in the restaurant. It was not busy at all. It was pretty much sit wherever you liked. The young man cleaning the tables took our drink order. We ordered unsweet iced tea, the tea was either already sweetened or very weak. I did not add any type of sweeteners. The chicken chow mein had plenty of chicken but it really didn't have much flavor. I tried adding some soy sauce which changed the color of the sauce but didn't make any improvements. The sweet and sour chicken was good, a much better choice than the chow mein. The fried rice was pretty much ordinary, nothing different from other Chinese restaurants. It needed soy sauce. The egg rolls were good. The crab Rangoon were slightly overcooked. The food was hot which is important to me. The staff were friendly but overall I would recommend you try another Chinese restaurant if possible. I didn't feel the food was not a good value...

I’m Coming from out of town and we chose to eat here, biggest mistake and sadly one of the worst experiences received. I have never been so embarrassed. My order was placed wrong, food was so salty, ordered Almond chicken with brown sauce. Received the order no almonds and made with white sauce. I didn’t make a fuss. Just placed my plate to the side. Im assuming the owner, asked me if I wanted a plate to go since the food was not eaten. I said no thank you, it was placed wrong and had no almonds plus it’s so salty. She made a face and walked away. No big deal, I’m still going to pay for it. No drink refills were offered. Waiter brought our ticket and asked if I needed a box I said no thank you order was wrong, salty and had no almonds. He said no let me get Lily( owner) she ignored him as he was trying to get her attention. I said I already let her know it’s no big deal. When he explained to her, she got so mad, huffed and ripping the receipt out of his hands. I stood up and followed, I said I can pay for it ma’am it’s no big deal. The order was placed wrong and it was too salty. She completely ignored me. If I was treated this way I can just imagine how she treats her employees. She’s extremely unprofessional, and...

This was my first visit to China Garden. I decided to give it a try while in town for a job. The menu contained a good selection of items, however many items were only offered as an entree. All of the fried chicken items were entrees; sesame chicken, General Tso's chicken, orange chicken. Dinners come with an egg roll and soup, entrees only come with rice, but are twice a portion size. Dinner prices were fair, entree prices we're only decent if you were sharing the item. Soda prices were average but refills were additional. The food came out super quick, and the general chicken had good flavor. The fried rice was also very good, what was a pretty small portion for coming with a large entree. The wonton soup only contained one wonton and The Wonton only had a very small piece of meat inside it. The flavor of everything was very good oh, the speed of the food coming out was very good, portion sizes on the entree were very good. Charges for crispy noodles with soup, refills on soda, and items only offered as entrees and not meals made this place expensive to eat at. I noticed more people ordering To Go than dining in. I would consider dining here again maybe to try the lunch specials.

The food was pretty good, a bit salty, but still pretty good. Our waitress was very nice at the beginning, but then towards the end she became either very distracted or very lazy because I sat for 15 minutes waiting for her to come back to the table so I can get a refill, she never came back until after I was done with my food. And on that last trip back we asked for some to go boxes for our leftovers and she never came back with those. Went to the front to pay and we caught her looking at the "tip" area and what we had tipped her and she looked ungrateful and had a rude attitude. We had to go to the back of the dining room to where they get the refills for the tea and ask the very kind young lady that buses the tables (if you see this, thank you ma'am for being so nice), for her to give us some to go containers. All in all we will not be back if we are going to get that kind of staff service. I'm sorry to the kind people that work there. God bless you all and thank you for reading!

I just moved here and wanted chicken chow mein. Placed an online order and picked up my food, get home and whatever was put in my to-go container WAS NOT chicken chow mein. It was basically slimy looking chicken and cabbage and it STINKS, not appetizing whatsoever. 😷 🤮 I called and tried to explain that I was either given the wrong item or there was something wrong with it. Talked to a rude lady telling me that I needed to reorder that she wasn't going to fix my order. I was more than willing to bring my food back up there and show them. I WILL NEVER EVER COME BACK HERE OR ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN. STAY AWAY! There is too many other places around that actually care about your business.
