My family and I visited Saturday at around 5pm. The service was excellent and the food was delightful. We haven't been since the new owners took over and I was a bit sceptical, but we were pleasantly surprised. We were seated right away and the server immediately came and took our drink orders. She was not just polite but also friendly and warm and she took notice of the children, which is always a plus for me. We ordered the pan seared dumplings for our appetizer and they were perfect. Slightly crispy on the bottom with tender wrapping on the tops. The pork inside was juicy and flavorful without getting everywhere and the dipping sauce was tangy and salty. They arrived quickly as well and were the perfect temperature to enjoy quickly without burning our mouths. The kids menu had a decent variety and very good portions. They also came with soup, which was a pleasant surprise to me! The egg drop soup was steaming hot, rich, and smooth with crisp bites of chopped green onion garnish. We ordered the cherry chicken, beef & scallions Mongolian style, chicken and beef lo mein, teriyaki chicken, and sweet and sour shrimp. Everything came out right after we finished our appetizers, hot and fresh. Tender noodles, juicy chicken, and scallions cooked to perfection. I wad worried about the cherry chicken, I thought it would be too sweet, but it was pleasant and accompanied the rice delightfully. There wasn't an abundance of grease or a burnt edge in sight. The waitress was very attentive and took great care of us. I might miss some of the old menu items however, the new items that replace them truly make up for it. We will...
Read moreWe had the sweet and sour chicken dinner special. Our order was to go. I phoned in the order and the phone rang for quite a while before it was answered. The person that answered the phone had an attitude like I was bothering her. I realize people have bad days but since people like me are the reason she has a job maybe she should work on her phone skills. The food was good as always. I will not go and eat at the restaurant because I would not want to inconvenience them. I would go to another chinese restaurant if possible. This is the only one in Pleasanton besides one that has buffet and I don't really care for buffet. This is an update on 20 Dec 2022. We went on Saturday for dinner. We decided to dine in the restaurant. It was not busy at all. It was pretty much sit wherever you liked. The young man cleaning the tables took our drink order. We ordered unsweet iced tea, the tea was either already sweetened or very weak. I did not add any type of sweeteners. The chicken chow mein had plenty of chicken but it really didn't have much flavor. I tried adding some soy sauce which changed the color of the sauce but didn't make any improvements. The sweet and sour chicken was good, a much better choice than the chow mein. The fried rice was pretty much ordinary, nothing different from other Chinese restaurants. It needed soy sauce. The egg rolls were good. The crab Rangoon were slightly overcooked. The food was hot which is important to me. The staff were friendly but overall I would recommend you try another Chinese restaurant if possible. I didn't feel the food was not a good value...
Read moreI’m Coming from out of town and we chose to eat here, biggest mistake and sadly one of the worst experiences received. I have never been so embarrassed. My order was placed wrong, food was so salty, ordered Almond chicken with brown sauce. Received the order no almonds and made with white sauce. I didn’t make a fuss. Just placed my plate to the side. Im assuming the owner, asked me if I wanted a plate to go since the food was not eaten. I said no thank you, it was placed wrong and had no almonds plus it’s so salty. She made a face and walked away. No big deal, I’m still going to pay for it. No drink refills were offered. Waiter brought our ticket and asked if I needed a box I said no thank you order was wrong, salty and had no almonds. He said no let me get Lily( owner) she ignored him as he was trying to get her attention. I said I already let her know it’s no big deal. When he explained to her, she got so mad, huffed and ripping the receipt out of his hands. I stood up and followed, I said I can pay for it ma’am it’s no big deal. The order was placed wrong and it was too salty. She completely ignored me. If I was treated this way I can just imagine how she treats her employees. She’s extremely unprofessional, and...
