Today I had the pleasure of experiencing “Icicles” on Pleasanton Main Street. Among entry I was immediately greeted and given ample suggested on flavor choices, ingredients, and toppings. My cashier and roller, “Milla” was thorough with all suggestions and rolled my ice cream extremely fast. With the evening rush of customers, and her being the only worker rolling she managed quite well. The store is quite clean and they offer many gluten free, non dairy, and vegan options. However, I went with the “Ube Everywhere” flavor, a beautiful blend of ube and coconut. The price of $11.99 is justifiable as the flavor of the ice cream is quite unique. In addition to a truly exquisite one of a kind ice cream, each purchase is followed with a demonstration of the actual rolling of the ice cream, which further accentuates the experience. The overall impression of the ice cream is quite light and smooth, that is not too sweet. Many reviews rave about the sweet nature of the ice cream, however the key is to not overload with extra toppings, and stick to enjoying the ice cream itself. All and all, “Icicles” on Pleasanton Main Street is a MUST try. Whether it is a summer treat, after dinner snack, or in the cold winter months of January I HIGHLY suggest a visit.

Ice cream is good but may be little costly.

It’s not often that my taste buds go in high alert… Wow!!! They meet all of the criteria I look for as a foodie. Minimally processed, quality ingredients, not too overpowered with sugars (although they had the options available), vegan and allergen free options… they make the icecream-ish stuff right in front of you! They pour the liquid ingredients on a circular frozen workspace and with spatulas they mix the flavors in. (I chose fresh avocado with cream.) Then they spread the mixture on flat and scrape it up into rolls. I added dark chocolate bits, almond slivers, Nutella drizzle, toasted marshmallow, and banana. Yummy!! Fulfilling! Could up their game with better customer service and spend more time on making the atmosphere a place you want to dine in… however the rest of downtown Pleasanton makes up for it.

My son‘s reaction in this photo is all the review you need! Absolutely love getting ice cream here and my kids love watching it being made! The gentleman that helped us out last night was so sweet and loved entertaining my kids while making their ice cream. Only reason I didn’t give a full five stars is because every time I’ve been coming in in the last year or so, they barely put any toppings on top even when I ask them for extra. Don’t say you get unlimited toppings if you’re not willing to give the customer what they want, especially when they’re spending $45 on...
