"One star, and honestly, that’s being generous. I finally gave in to the hype about Meadowlark Dairy, expecting some life-changing ice cream experience. What I got tasted like a science experiment gone wrong—straight-up chemical soft serve. I couldn’t tell if I was eating ice cream or antifreeze-flavored foam. People rave about this place like it’s a frozen dessert Mecca. Are we eating the same thing? I’d rather gamble on McDonald’s fixing their machines (and we all know how likely that is) or just head to Chick-fil-A for something that actually tastes like cream.

But wait, it gets worse. My wife got a chocolate shake that somehow managed to outdo the ice cream in sheer terribleness. She drank maybe a third of it, left it in my cup holder overnight, and the next morning… it looked EXACTLY the same. Not melted, not separated—just sitting there, defying the laws of nature like a dessert relic from a dystopian future. How is that even possible? A real shake would’ve turned into a sad puddle. This thing? It’s apparently immortal.

This place has customer service down to an art form. I had driven by once and was curious about the crowd out front. Recently, my friends came to visit and after a very nice meal at Baci's, we walked over to get Ice cream.

At first, you wonder "Why is there someone yelling across the car lane what flavor and what size of ice cream?" Turns out the person on the sidewalk was taking an order. The driver then gets behind several other cars until the order is ready. Fascinating how they can keep it all straight.

We never made it to the window. Another very nice person took our order while we were in line. He never wrote it down and yet cam back with exactly what we ordered. We were signed, sealed, delivered (paid up) before reaching the front of the line. That was awesome. I will admit I saw Instagram posts of this place and the soft serve and it made me want to go. I took the family on a warm summer Saturday afternoon. I was a little worried the line would be too long. Maybe we lucked out but the drive thru line was about 6 cars. The line for walk up was a bit longer maybe about 8 groups. The drive thru was pretty well organized. They had about 4 or 5 people working to take orders. So they took your order before you get up to the building. They go in prepare your items then bring you your order to your car and collect payment. I got a Medium Strawberry/Pineapple swirl. It was delicious. My son got chocolate, my wife got Strawberry.
