Towne Center Books — Local services in Pleasanton

I just went in there with my baby in a stroller, it is not stroller or handicapped friendly by the way, and I did not enjoy my time there. I struggled to get up the steps and into the door and once I made it to the children book section, it was a total mess with boxes blocking the picture books I wanted to look at. As I made my way out the door, an employee stood at the door decorating a window without even helping me open the door. Instead she said goodbye as I struggled for a second time to open the door and guide my stroller down steps. I will not...

Small selection, but wonderful staff. I came in looking for a few specific books and they had none of them. I asked a staff member for recommendation based on some other reads and after some discussion, I hesitantly walked out with "Be Sure" by Seanan McGuire. Turns out I ultra loved it, so thanks to the wonderful staff here!

This is my first (and usually only) stop for books and birthday gifts. The staff are all great, and they go above and beyond to be helpful. The store also carries a large variety of gift products, so even if you can't find the right book for the recipient, you can browse mugs, stuffed animals, jewelry, games and even socks!
