Red Olive Restaurant Plymouth Ann Arbor Rd — Restaurant in Plymouth Charter Township

I love Red Olive in Livonia, so I thought going to this one would be a good choice since my family was in the area. I wasn't super disappointed, but also not overly thrilled.

The food was good and cooked well, but our waitress wasn't the best. She kept forgetting to bring things we asked. Ketchup for hash browns and more coffee. We had to ask several times. She was polite about it and apologetic. She also kept putting things (like the coffee) in front of our one year old son. There wasn't a reason for this as we were three people sitting at a table meant for 5 or 6. There was plenty of room to put the stuff away from the toddler.

All of that is super forgiveable for a normally amazing restaurant experience (at least at the Livonia location), but then I noticed that the baby changing table was loose in the hinges. When I put my son on it, the table tilted towards the ground. I used my leg to prop it up as I changed him. I did not get a chance to tell my server, so I called the restaurant after I left. I talked to a man who sounded like the manager. He seemed very unconcerned with what I told him and that doesn't sit right with me.

Ultimately, we walked away full and satisfied with our meal, but I am not sure if I would return to this location. The Livonia location is always much more on their game and their staff is just the best. Since the locations are not far apart, I think I would prefer to bypass this one to go...

I recently decided to do pick up from Red Olive Restaurant. I was sorely disappointed. Before Corona Virus Stay Home Order this restaurant served fresh delicious food. But a few days ago I ordered the Sample Platter under appetizers. The hummus was awful I feel it had spoiled. It tasted like it had fermented and had a bad taste. I also ordered the Gyro Plate Gyro Plate with sliced lamb and beef topped with onions and tomatoes, rice pilaf and pita bread. I was suppose to get gyro sauce but none was provided. I asked if she could give me some tahini sauce as well. The lady taking the order did not ask me did I want salad or soup. When I arrived I told her she forgot to ask me. I told her I wanted the salad. When I got home I found the salad had wilted lettuce with browning on it. The tahini sauce tasted bad too. I called at home as soon as I found some of the food items to be spoiled. The girl was the same girl that took my original order, and gave me my order at the restaurant. She was very new to working at the restaurant. I gave her my name since the manager was not in and that I would call the next day. The next day I call again no manager and an employee answered who does not know what to do when a customer is not happy about their food. I asked her to have the manager call me the next day. No one called me. Terrible food, Terrible customer service. Very disappointed in a restaurant...

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE FROM THIS PLYMOUTH LOCATION... If so check your order. Ordered a turkey club and added cheese and ham. Pick it up get back to work guess what no ham that was paid for and no mayo. Ordered a chicken dinner guess what no silverware, so how am I supposed to eat and cut the chicken breast???? Called back to the restaurant and told the manager there was no ham. He said there's no ham on the sandwich? I said why would I call back if there was and there's no mayo so it's just a dry toasted sandwich. He asked me to bring it back. Get there he inspects it as if I did a sandwich switch. I asked for the garlic spread as well that was in the special instructions. He comes back with another sandwich. I asked for silverware and the garlic again. Get back to work and guess what there's ham but no mayo still. I called back and obviously they have called ID because the manager sent me to the fax machine. I called from a different number and you guessed it he answered. I said I just left there for the second time and there was no mayo again on the sandwich that was just remade. He said "no mayo" I asked was there an incompetent chef in the kitchen how hard is it to make a turkey and ham sandwich. He said we can remake it and put all the mayo you want like I'm the one whose caused him an inconvenience. I said I'm not coming back up there and will never come...
