It's somewhat of a tradition to come here with family and friends on Thanksgiving Eve each year. If you couldn't tell from the outside before walking in, you will immediately notice as you walk in that this place is tiny—and we all know what that means. There just isn't a lot of space in general, and when it gets busy don't even think about finding a place to sit. Especially if you go on a day/night like Thanksgiving Eve.
Once you walk in you will notice that this place really looks like any other neighborhood bar. That's exactly what it is, and what they are trying to be, nothing more, nothing less. And that is perfectly fine with me. The staff here is friendly, welcoming, and it's pretty clean (unless you count the men's bathroom, which are less than great—and that it putting it kindly). If you don't absolutely have to use the bathroom here, don't.
On a more positive note, the service here (depending on who waits on you) is excellent. The food here is also incredibly good, especially since it is just your typical bare type fare. It's literally just bar food, done very well and I love that about this place. Being a regular old bar, they obviously have a full bar here (as you would imagine) to suit all of your adult beverage needs. Being a beer drinker myself, they have a few offerings on draft, and several more available in bottles. It's not a selection I would come here for or mention in a conversation to someone about this place, but it is fine over all.
When all is said and done, this place is good for popping in for a quick bite and a couple drinks—just watch out for...
Read moreI don't like bar's, but it was a good chance to pay back one of my favorite neighbor's where I now live as she mentioned they had Taco's every Tues. It worked out well for us as nearby for dinner. It was not busy or noisy when we walked in with the door propped open and sat near at a small table by the wall and enjoyed our non alcoholic drinks and our taco's. I mentioned things I had learned about bar's as a former owner of a Country Western bar for one long hot summer year in '84 - '85 in Leesburg, FL many people have never heard of and always explain it's in the central/center part of FL. We were trying to talk and couldn't hear each other and I noticed the probably after work usual patrons had probably come in, but my back was not facing the door, but a large TV screen. I had never been in this bar before, but have been in many other's in the Plymouth and Livonia area for many year's and other area's of...
Read moreI never leave negative reviews…but felt compelled after a horrible experience tonight. I called ahead to see if my coworkers and I could meet for happy hour as this is right down the street. I was told reservations aren’t accepted but we were welcome to try and 5 o’clock shouldn’t be bad. Completely understandable and more than reasonable. I initially called ahead to give them a heads up and based on the persons response was under the impression we might not have a table but we would be ok to come in regardless. Upon arriving, was told “I told you we couldn’t fit you” which is inaccurate and blatantly untrue. Does this mean I hadn’t called you and we didn’t come in as a group it would have been ok? We too are a local business and were hoping to make this a regular outing. It’s more than the fact we were denied entry. The way that we were spoken to was appalling. We will take our...
