I must say I have to leave a truthful review and my experience was totally disappointing! The wait staff in the back room past the bar spent more time talking, texting! I believe four employees stood around texting, talking, and chatting during food service! During later afternoon service! You got the feeling you were interrupting their time when all you are looking for is for some simple service, a cold drink and probably something to eat. I'm not sure if this is what this restaurant or pizzeria tries to do? I totally felt from the moment I walked in that I was inconveniencing the Wait staff! Over 50 years in the food service industry. I understand there are moments where there's some quiet or down time. All I look for was a cold chilled glass of Miller lite, a couple of pizzas and a simple appetizer! And a refill of a drink! The thin crust pizzas we both ordered small not to go overboard. We're so so I won't give it a five-star four-star just a 2 and 1/2 star review! its all I would give ! compared to other pizzerias within a 30 mile radius! Finally, after checking out, I wasn't notified that an automatic tip was placed on my credit card,!!!!!!!!! nor I was notified that using a credit card I would be charged and outrageous service charge fee,!!!!!!!!! not a percentage which is allowed in the state of Wisconsin but a $2.50 for using a card on a small bill. Totally ridiculous. I highly recommend people to stay as far away from this establishment as far as possible. The service is terrible. !!!The food is so so , service charges outrageous! Credit card charges are totally unexplained or brought up to the customer's attention. I consider this theft by contractor or stealing money from customers! So if you read this review and see all my hundreds of reviews that I've give places that do at least a halfway decent job or a good job. I am not making this up or have any spite against any place, but this place needs to be re training their employees to explain these hidden fees and charges they must definitely understand that no employee would get a tip automatically over 20% for this terrible service that you can't handle one table or even bringing a refill for a customer in need during service because it's more important to sit in the back with all the other Wait staff chatting, texting on their phones not doing their job. Absolutely horrific service. The food is subpar, not worth the money they charge. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy! And if this is explained in their menu that you couldn't read with a magnifying glass in the conditions with the lighting, I feel sad for you as an owner (s). Do not offer,or try to reach out or offer anythingbto us. Everything I stated is true! and I am only giving you my personal verbal & written opinion, My rights within the freedom of speach in the the...
Read moreThe first 2 times we tried to come here, we ended up leaving without even sitting, the 1st time after being told there was an hour wait, the 2nd time because we stood in a line at the door while literally NO ONE who worked there was even in view other than the bartender for probably 10 minutes. Why they think they can leave people just waiting on the doorstep for that long, who knows. Not a welcoming vibe at all. The 3rd time we came here was for a friend's son's birthday dinner. She told us she'd made reservations for 5:30pm (on a Saturday night). Our family were the first ones there, and after making it up past the already long line, we figured surely we'd be seated quickly with a reservation. However, we were met with the same thing as the previous two visits: nothing. No host/hostess manning the lecturn. So we waited. And waited. A couple waitresses passed, loaded down, moving quickly, and being sure not to make eye contact with us or anyone else in line. Otherwise, once again, the only other employee in sight was the busy bartender. Twice, a different person came up to the lecturn (finally!), but neither of them even looked at us as they hastily scribbled something on a paper before leaving again, let alone made any indication of greeting/helping us. After probably, again, about 10 minutes of this being ignored, we were getting antsy, but then someone did eventually come up and ask if she could help us. We gave our friend's name for the reservation, and gee what do you know, there isn't a reservation under that name. There's only one reservation for the time for 6-9 people under a different name that, hey, sounds a lot like our friend's name. Couldn't possibly be us though, according to the "I can't help you" look the girl gave us. I called my friend, who confirmed that she had made the reservations, first for 6-9 people, then had called an hour ago to up it to 12 people. Again, I was just met with a blank stare after relaying this information. Long story shortened (somewhat lol sorry), we finally had them seat us at the table for 12 that was, indeed, ready & waiting for us this whole time, albeit under the wrong name. Ok, relief. We made it to a table. Everything from there was fine: the waitress was friendly enough and did a pretty good job keeping up on taking care of our party, considering its size. I believe someone from the restaurant did address my friend before we left, apologizing about the confusion with the reservation, which was nice. Also, the pizza was excellent, no complaints there! Still unsure if we'll ever be returning though, at least without a clearly spoken reservation and/or not on a weekend. The lack of reception here is just hard to get...
Read moreThis was my first impression.
Went to place a take out order. BYO pizza isnt on the take out menu. Annoying as hell. Went in person.
Noticed at dinner time there was only 6 customers total, 4 at the bar drinking, a couple eating at a booth.
Waited 10 mins at the hostess stand. No one acknowledged me. Walked to the bar to sit down. Another 10 mins went by. Bartender had her back to me the entire time. 3 servers/bussers or kitchen staff walked past me and didnt even smile or acknowledge me or tell the bartender to turn around.
When she finally did notice me, only after walking out from behind the pine completely, did she even see me. Mind you im sitting front and center of the bar as we speak.
She greeted me, I said I want to place a take out order; tried about 4 times to push me to order an alcoholic drink, I dont drink at all so that made me very uncomfortable. And I just wanted to take my food home.
Then, im guessing since I wouldn't order a drink, she turned her attention to take care of the other customers at the bar instead. Gave them refills and everything. She THEN came back to take my order, never brought me a menu either, had to google the menu in front of her like an idiot. That felt icky as hell.
Then she shoves a card reader in my face with only 18% 20% & 25% tips. She didnt deserve one at all, idk who tips on take out, all the bartender did was enter it in. That takes zero effort. But she stood there awkwardly waiting for me to pick one. I felt like I had no choice. Absolutely not okay, I'll never ever come in person again just for that.
Then to top it all off, the server greeted a couple who walked in and waited at the hostess stand, within 30 seconds. Handed them menus and everything.
Bartender never even brought me a menu. I had to look it up on my phone....
Im so disappointed in my first experience, id rather never come here in person again. I dont want to have to ever interact with your staff ever again.
I sadly haven't even tried my food yet and im writing this before I leave, im so floored at the experience I was given.
I will definitely not be recommending this...
