First time and last time diners, here. Upon entering, we immediately noticed the dark carpet was covered with paper trash and leaves throughout the entire restaurant. We should’ve left, then. Being retired from management for upscale restaurants, I have a clue and notice everything, but we were hungry. Our delightful waitress was friendly, gracious, and efficient, but I hope she finds work that is worthy of her care. This restaurant doesn’t appreciate her, obviously. I ordered the meatloaf dinner. The mystery ‘meat’ was served in three enormous slices, drowned in instant gravy that tasted synthetic. I consumed only three bites of meatloaf, as the ‘meat’ was questionable. It was a spongy, grey mass that had no resemblance to ground beef. The dried up mashed potatoes were instant and tasted so, also smothered in instant gravy. The steamed vegetables were obviously from a frozen bag and tasted so. My friend ordered a pasta skillet that had a sauce reminiscent of cheap, bright red ketchup. All of the ‘food’ had a synthetic, metallic taste most likely from Sysco. Basically, this restaurant is reheating prepackaged frozen food from cheap resources. The price for meatloaf dinner and a pasta skillet was $45 with tip. Our waitress asked why we didn’t eat our food and I replied ‘it was inedible and I wouldn’t recommend these dishes’. I’m certain she mentioned my response to the owner/manager but he didn’t thank us for coming nor invite us to return when we paid our bill. In a real restaurant, the owner would’ve comped at least one meal or at least acknowledged our dissatisfaction. The owner obviously has no personality, care, or concern for quality or diner experience and is merely dishing out cheap quality instant prepackaged food at expensive prices to an unsuspecting community. When leaving this restaurant, never to return, we noticed the McDonald’s across the street and commented that we should’ve gone there. At least McDonald’s is consistent and clean with reasonably priced, generally better...
Read moreTitle: A Pleasant Dining Experience at Plymouth Cafe!
Review: I recently had the pleasure of visiting Plymouth Cafe for the first time, and I must say it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by a large and spacious dining area that felt very inviting. The booths and tables were new and clean, adding to the overall pleasant ambiance.
The highlight of my visit was definitely the food. I opted for the biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs, and I was not disappointed. The gravy was incredibly flavorful, although I personally found it slightly under seasoned. However, the scrambled eggs were a true delight - light, fluffy, and bursting with flavor. Every bite was an absolute treat.
To our surprise, my partner's order of eggs Benedict came with not one, but two full orders of this classic dish. Additionally, there was an extra poached egg on the plate. It was a generous portion that left us both satisfied. The hash browns served alongside were wonderfully cooked, adding the perfect texture and taste to the meal.
The service at Plymouth Cafe was top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure our needs were met throughout the meal. Their pleasant and on-point service truly added to the overall dining experience.
The only aspect that may not have stood out was the coffee, which I would describe as average. However, I was pleased to find that French vanilla creamer was available, giving the option to add a touch of flavor to the coffee.
Overall, I highly recommend visiting Plymouth Cafe. The combination of a pleasant atmosphere, large portions of delicious food, and excellent service makes it a standout choice for a satisfying meal. Don't miss out on the biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs or the generous eggs Benedict portions. It's a dining experience...
Read moreOur first visit to this restaurant, and it was perfect. We had actually gone to a different restaurant first, "The Roadside Bar and Grill" which we've been to before. Their food is mediocre at best, and their service was so bad we left without ordering(check out my review). It actually worked out well because we have found our new favorite place to have breakfast and lunch! The service was very quick, and they were actually a waitress down, but you would have never known. The restaurant is nice and open and very clean. I had the chicken alfredo, and my husband had the meatloaf. My meal was excellent, as was my husband's. Both meals came with soup or salad, and the chicken dumpling soup was very good. They also had tomato bisque, which looked and tasted great, according to my husband. They have an extensive breakfast menu as well. I would highly recommend this place, and I know you won't be...
