Amazing Glaze Donuts — Restaurant in Pocatello

Tried this place out for the first time recently. The donuts are absolutely fantastic. Having moved back to Pocatello after spending over a decade living in Salt Lake, I've had plenty of time to try to find a good donut in a much larger metro area. The donuts from Amazing Glaze edge out even the best donuts I ever had in SLC.

The service was friendly, and was patient while our toddler picked out a half dozen donuts that he thought looked good.

Price wasn't unreasonable at all. Sure, you may pay a little more here than if you buy a box of stale donuts from the grocery store, but these donuts are large and the quality and flavor can't even be compared to anything at a lower price point.

If you want a dirt cheap donut, go buy day-olds at the grocery store. If you want a truly fantastic donut for a reasonable price, come here.

I only have two downsides that I can think of: they aren't open very late and by the time I realize I want/need donuts it's usually later in the day, so they've missed out on a lot of business from us there unfortunately. Lastly, if you want the best selection then you need to show up early; their selection was getting a bit thin by the time we made it in. That said, I'd rather have a smaller selection of fresh donuts, than a big variety of stale day-olds, so it's understandable they don't keep everything stocked as it gets later in the day. Great little find on our stop through Pocatello. Super cute shop! Soooo many donut choices! Not the "norm" on some of the flavors, which was fun. Great flavor and they were delicious!

The service was lacking a little. The girls helping us were great. There was one gal, who might have been the owner or manager, who acted irritated when we didn't understand what she was asking us about what we ordered. It was our first time and didn't know a ring dozen or amazing dozen or whatever they offer. I then asked for a coffee and she acted like i had requested for her to stand on het head to make the coffee. Maybe she was having a bad day.

Anyways, we will definitely go again. :)

Update to the owner- I do LOTS of reviews and feel I review fairly. I have given PLENTY of 5 star reviews. You must have researched my recent (Pocatello) where the other establishment didn't deserve any more stars than I gave. I LOVE small shops and usually always have good experiences. I travel for work and wanted something different for our clients and came to your shop because of reviews. I DID say I would be back (maybe) and praised the girls who helped. Maybe the manager was irritated she was training?! If that is the case, she probably should be nicer since she's training? Instead of seeming irritated with whoever, because honestly it seemed she was irritated with us. Thank you for your feedback. I will definitely consider where I give business...

The attitude I received today when buying donuts was to say the least mind boggling. I usually have stellar service when I go this shop and I always look forward to the high quality products prepared there. Today was very different. It was around 10:30 am or so and I walked in and there was no other customers in the shop but me. One gal was at the coffee station and the other behind the donut counter. The gal asked me how many donuts I was having and I said I was not sure, maybe 4. Then she kept asking what I wanted. With so many choices it was hard to decide. Part of what I like about going there is a chance to try something different. I felt pressured but I wasn’t sure why she was pressuring me? There was no one else there! Anyway, I decided on what I wanted and paid and left. She made me feel as though I were taking her from some other task at hand. It was an odd feeling. The cases were full so I would think they would want to sell their product so why the attitude I am not sure. Why am I being rushed to decide on a donut? I have never felt that way before today. She also looked unkept and not groomed very well. Pocatello in general struggles with good customer service at restaurants and public places but this shop has always been my go to so I am treated with courtesy and respect and today was just a miss.
