We waited for over 45 minutes for our slushies and finally just left. We did the mobile pick up order, and when we got to the car stall I checked in. 20 minutes later, we still didn't have our drinks, or any indication that they knew we were there. So I pushed the button and was told that they were short staffed so I needed to go through the drive-through. I explained that I was there to pick up a mobile order and they said to stay where I was and it would be right out. 15 minutes later, the drinks still were not out. By this point my kids, who had been waiting very well, were starting to get cranky and upset. I pushed the button again, and was told to please to to the drive-through because the stalls were not taking orders because they were short staffed. Once again, I explained that I was picking up a mobile order, but if it was easier I would go through the drive through. They told me to stay there and they would bring the slushies right out. A few minutes later, a girl walked out and said my order was delayed on their end for 25 seconds. I explained I had already been waiting for over half an hour and that I wasn't sure what the delay was. She said to wait for a minute and she would have her boss come talk to me to see if we could figure it out. 15 minutes later the drinks were still not out and nobody had come to talk to me, my kids were all crying by then so we just left. The 50 minutes of waiting wasn't worth the $6.00 I paid in drinks. Multiple employees came in and out of the building during our wait to do things like go to the bathroom and talk to people in other cars. Very few times did I actually see them bringing food to cars who I assume were other mobile orders? One employee even walked up to a car near mine and grabbed a vaping tool and took a quick vape through the window of the car. She did this twice while I was watching. When we left, two employees were just sitting on the patio talking. (I have no idea if they were taking a break or not, but maybe you should take your break after you have served a customer who has been waiting for 45+ minutes.)
I totally understand being short staffed. These are tough times for businesses right now. And I had no problem waiting extra time to accommodate for that. But 50 minutes of waiting is extremely excessive and unprofessional. Especially for 6 drinks/slushies. Not even food. We will not be visiting again...
Read moreWell we have gone to Sonic on and off since they opened... probably more off than on...a while back they had a promo on their pretzel sticks for$1... my order finally came and no cheese sauce... apparently that's now an additional 50 cents... stopped a few weeks ago for slushes... they were found lacking.... I have been seeing their sonic smasher bogo ad everywhere... decided that would be a quick cheap meal... stopped pushed button... ordered... response was "you have to order that on the app"...I asked "can't you just enter it"... "no you have to use the app... we have no control over the rules" well the app wasn't working at this location foreeeeevvvvver... so I deleted it...I told her I'd try to reload it... her response was"let me know if I can help you with anything"...I guess not... couldn't help me order food... spent 20 min. Loading the app... then 15 min trying to place the order... it kept deleting it at the end... after choosing store several times it finally worked.... ordered lite onions on one burger and and regular on the other... then I ordered crazy fries... we fell in love with them when they launched them for $1... we must have eaten 100 orders if we ate one...(that was during a good era at this Sonic) well after the promo they were $4... had a way of making them not so popular... anyhow...20 min after placing order it came out... (about suffocated waiting since the guy in the next stall was a chain smoker.)..I asked if there was fry sauce in the bag... she said"you only get it if you ordered it"...I asked if we could get regular and crazy sauce...I guess they only have crazy sauce now... Well the attached picture is of the burger with one patty and cheese hanging out of the box... and as far as onions there were plenty on both burgers...neither lite... not marked on boxes either...I scraped mine off and ate the burger since we were almost an hour late for our appointment... The crazy fries were cold, hard and greasy... like old stale grease..... I think the owner from Utah was there today too... he always parks in the last stall... not out back like the rest of the help....Looks like we'll be taking another Sonic Vacation.... Why is it so hard for them to get it right....lots of other places do.... this seems to be a top...
Read moreI've been to the Pocatello ID location 2 times in the last couple of week. And had bad experiences both times. On the first visit when the car hop come to bring my food to me there was 2 drinks on the tray and my order only has one drink on it and had added flavors to a coke. The car hope could not tell what one was to be mine instead of going back in an remaking it. They popped the lids on both of them and basically kept sticking their noise in them to smell them to find out what one was mine. This really kinda bothered me with all the covid stuff going on. Than today i place my order but the order never showed on the screen. But I was told a total for the order and swiped my card even though the total was not shown on the screen. I waited 10 to 15 minutes. And my food had not come out. So I pushed the button again and asked where my food was. They said they did not have an order for my stall #. I repeated what my order was suppose to be and they said that they had that order under a different stall # and had thought it was a drive off. But they would bring it right out. Well it had not been paid for yet. So the car hop had to take my card to charge the order. When she came back with my card I let her know that I was going to need to have them remake my food as it was cold. The mozzarella sticks were cold enough that cheese was solid. She took the food back in supposedly to remake the order. When it was brought back out to me I know for a fact all they did was try to heat up the food that was already made and did not make fresh food. Everything was only luck warm. She also claims that they have refunded the whole order, but I don't know if they really did as I never saw the receipt during this whole thing. And when the order came back out my total number of mozzarella sticks was not there. Guess I will need to check my account to find out if the order was...
