UPDATE: I received a quick response from the manager on this and he ensured that training would take place so this doesn't happen again. He even offered a free meal for two. I'm updating my star rating because this is one of the first times I have had a company actually respond and resolve an issue quickly.
Horrible service. When we first showed up a waitress walked by and we asked if they still serve popcorn. She said no, but we could have chips and salsa instead. We said that would be great, not knowing she meant we'd be charged for them. Usually we would expect to pay for something like that but the popcorn they used to give out was free and she offered it like that was the new thing they do. Next, The computer system was down so we were sitting there for 30 minutes after we ate while they tried to get the payment to work. That's not why we were upset though. We know they couldn't prevent that from happening. Since it was taking so long we decided to send someone to the bank so we could get out faster. Upon returning with the money, our waitress was busy, so we walked up to someone at the front (this happened to be the same waitress that offered chips and salsa to us earlier) and said we would like to pay because we needed to leave. Her reply was "I'm not your waitress" in a rude tone. She didn't say "I'm not your waitress" when she convinced us to order more food earlier. But seriously? We waited 30 minutes and left to get money instead of asking for a handout for the inconvenience like most people probably would. I think its time to do some training on customer service again. On a side note, several others were waiting around after their meals too because of the computer issue. On top of that there were still new people coming in to eat. It might be wise to tell them that you're having payment issues before...
Read moreFood was OK, as was the staff. Well, the staff not so much. When asked for my ID they took my US Passport card somewhere in the back then came back and said they needed a valid driver's license. Said it waa the law. Really? I'm over 65 years old and have my share of gray in what's left of my hair and have probably been to more restaurants than days the waitress has graced this planet. When I informed her that it most definitely wasn't the law, she said it was Winger's law. "No, that would be a rule", I replied. I finally dug out my DL (it was stuck & didn't want to come out, which is why they got my passport) and after telling me they had to ensure my driver's license wasn't expired (?!?) she tried scanning it with a handheld scanner. Not being satisfied with that, she disappeared behind the wall again with now my second valid ID. After a couple of minutes it was returned to me by an older waitress and after that I was rewarded with the beer I had ordered at least 10 minutes earlier. I have no idea why they need to abscond with ID's behind a wall. Frankly it creeps me out a little. Needless to say I won't be darkening their...
Read moreMy husband and I went to Wingers for dinner last night. He asked our waiter if they had ribs. The waiter had to go and ask. #1, he should have known that. They did have ribs but, #2, they were not in the menu. I ordered Cajun chicken pasta and we both ordered a salad. Usually the salad would come out before the entree. We waited for quite a while. Finally it was served and #3, my salad had no dressing with it. We were asked if they looked ok. I told the waiter there was no salad dressing. He walked back to the kitchen, then #4, was talking to other waitresses then was on his cell phone. So my husband went and asked for it. We got our entrees a couple of minutes later. While eating, our waiter took another order at a table by us and had to go ask about an item. He came by our table a few times and #5, never asked if we needed anything. We had to ask someone else for to go boxes. And waited quite awhile for our check. Needless to say, he did not get a good tip from us. The only thing we liked about our visit was the nice remodel of the building. I don't know if I could recommend this restaurant to my...
