Ordered take out twice here, first time was just fried ice cream. This time we got ground beef enchiladas and chicken enchilada ranchero, and queso with chips and salsa.

When I called to order it the gentleman that answered the phone was extremely nice and answered any questions I had. When I went in to pick it up I had asked another question which again he glady answered and was super friendly. Got home to eat and thats when things got a little disappointing, the queso was really good, rice was good with good flavor and the creamy green salsa was amazing. Unfortunately my ground beef enchiladas were under cooked and the meet was still pink/red. I did at first think it was maybe the sauce but it definitely was just under cooked. Wasn't a huge fan of the enchilada sauce. My husband said the chicken enchiladas were balnd just boiled chicken with no seasoning or flavor. I'm not sure how the beans were because the enchilada sauce was mixed in which again I did not like. For me the salso was overwhelming tomato tasting and couldn't taste much else.

Overall was fairly disappointing. I will go back once more because this is the only place I've seen that has molcajete which is my favorite and we just moved to idaho so I would love to be able to find a place to satisfy that craving. I also want to give the benefit of that doubt because finding new restaurants can be hard especially when loving in so many places and comparing them to all the restaurants you love and miss. Hopefully the next visit is better however I will be opting out of the salsa and if good it would just be a place we go strictly for the molcajete. I also really wish I could find a place that had fluffy sopapillas and not crunchy :(

I would just like to also note the customer service I received was amazing and is the reason I will be giving this place...

Awful service. Awful food. Out of alcohol. After getting seated, it appeared to be a positive experience was coming. It did not. It took 10 minutes before we saw a young man appear and ask if we wanted water or drinks. We were ready. We ordered drinks…or so we thought. My wife ordered a strawberry colada. Nope. Dont have coladas. Unable to make them. So, She gets a strawberry margarita. Ok, so far ok… daughter gets her food and a soda. I go to order a strawberry daiquiri. Its the second thing on menu. Nope, “dont have daiquiris.” What? So i point it out in menu. “Sorry we dont have alcohol for that.” What? So i get a soda. Food comes…for my wife and daughter. No food for me. And they brought my wife’s drink…wrong flavor.

Dude! Write it down…except he didnt…and he was a nervous as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs!

Time goes by….out comes my food. Fajitas. Cold!

No sizzle on meat. Tortillas were cold and crispy….but at least not as stale as the chips they brought out.

Steak was like chewing bubble gum it has so much fat in it! Chicken was over cooked and charred.

Not recommended for a night out for mexican foos with hard earned money or even on parents dime while...

Updated review: This WAS our favorite place to eat, but after our last experience, not anymore. My order was totally wrong, they brought it back to be fixed, but it came out 10 to 15 minutes later, by that time, my mother in law was almost done eating her un-melted cheese enchiladas. By the time I got mine, my enchilada cheese was also not melted. Oh well, we'd take home the leftovers and properly heat them. Also, it sucks being charged $2.75 for a child's apple juice (I purchased a kids meal) after I asked if it came with the meal, he named off the juices they had, so I figured it was included. Nope, $2.75, on top of a $7 kids meal, mediocre food and service that really didn't seem like our experience was a priority. I think what really got me was, I contacted them on their website and they didn't even respond, you'd think they'd want to keep loyal, paying customers. Guess not.

My friend and I came here to eat and I was SO IMPRESSED with the food, I ordered the shredded beef flautas and loved it... Especially with the green sauce they have, I literally want to put that sauce on everything! I look forward to coming back, and bringing my...

This is normally a great place to eat. I eat here a couple times a year. I stopped in with some co workers last week and it was alnost comical. My lunch friends asked for Cokes. They serve Pepsi products that they declined and requested water. A few minutes later 2 Pepsi were brought to them. When I ordered #25 combo with a Relleno he asked how many tortillas I wanted. I received 3 street tacos #24 for lunch. One of my friends ordered a different kind of taco dish and they brought him a massive burrito. Both lunches looked good so we laughed and ate them anyway. They were really good, just not what we asked for. We were not unhappy it was just comical. I will go back. This was my cousin Shawns favorite place to eat and I had lunch with him there a week before he died under suspicicius circumstances. His Best friend and I celebrate his birthday every Dec 7 with bean dip, salsa and a Blue Moon.

We had a late family get-together on a Sunday night with some guests visiting from out of state. I was pleased to see that El Caporal was open past 7 o’clock whereas some of our other choices had closed up for the night. We had a reasonable wait time for our food and the prices were great. Our waitress was sweet and friendly and she looked after our dining needs expertly. The dining room was not crowded at this hour and it was clean and inviting. The atmosphere seemed cozy and relaxing. I enjoyed the shrimp enchilada and I highly recommend it. Thanks El Caporal for a delightful evening!

I went on Cinco de mayo and our waitress was the best. I ordered the cowboy margarita (for myself) because I didn't realize it was for at least two people. My waitress paused and then I think because of the holiday assumed I was there to party. I appreciate the judgement she used but it would have been nice to know it was going to be huge. Great experience. She also noticed my husband wasn't drinking so she gave him a sweet treat at then end and gave me and my friend shot glasses. Great service.
