To begin, most of the staff was super nice. The food was exactly what you expect from Applebees- decent enough to spend $25 on dinner for two. The steaks were made perfect to order, the potatoes and broccoli were good, and the mozz sticks were decent. One steak was about 3oz of fat, which is pretty large considering it was an 8oz steak.
Here was my issue: I pulled into the parking lot and noticed a sign under the Carside to Go sign saying, "Pepsi products $0.99 when you order online." We ordered online, so I thought we could add drinks to our order for $1 each. Go in, tell the host that if we can get drinks for $1, I'd like to add them on. He asks me size, and I tell him, "Whatever is 99c is fine." I'm not picky about size for that price.
The "To-Go Specialist" comes up with the food and drinks and tells me my new total is $29+, up from $23+, and I'm shocked! I look at the bill, and the drinks are $2.89! Seriously?! I can get a liter for $2 at the gas station a block away! I explained to her that the sign said 99c and another waitress comes over, kinda in my face, telling me I needed to order online. I told her, I did order online, and she said I needed to order the drinks online too in order to get that price. Fuzzy on the details, but she left and the "specialist" says she'll talk to the manager. The manager told her to comp the drinks (they'd throw it out anyway, but I'm ok with that).
BTW, if you want to write a review on their survey, you should write it out first and keep it short because you get timed out and there's a character limit if you're as...

My recent visit to the Pocatello Applebee's was a mixed bag. The food was decent, about what you'd expect from an Applebee's – nothing spectacular but satisfying enough. However, the experience was significantly impacted by the temperature. We were seated on the west side of the restaurant, and it was absolutely freezing. It wasn't just a little chilly; it was uncomfortably cold. Upon mentioning it to the staff, they readily admitted this is a known, ongoing issue with that section of the restaurant.
They were accommodating enough to offer us a move to the east side, which we gratefully accepted. However, this created an awkward situation. Our original waitress on the west side pointed out that this meant she would likely miss out on our tip, as this happens frequently due to the temperature problem, and management won't relocate her to a warmer area. While I appreciated the staff's willingness to move us, I felt terrible for the waitress who was clearly stuck in a difficult situation. Ultimately, I wasn't willing to sit and freeze, but it definitely put a damper on the meal, knowing our comfort came at her expense.
So, if you're planning a visit to this Applebee's, be sure to request a table on the east side. Hopefully, management will address the temperature issue on the west side soon, as it's not fair to either the staff or the customers. Until then, be prepared to bundle up if you end up on the west side or risk making a server feel like they are being punished for a...
Read moreMadi was our server on 1-2-24 at approximately 7:30pm. Our service was, well... not good. She took awhile to greet our table, but that's understandable when you're busy. We ordered our food. I explicitly asked for no onions for my whisky burger. She got us our drinks and appetizer, which was mozzarella sticks, promptly. They were delicious. Finally our food came out. She didn't give me a chance to say anything when she just went to the table next to us and started chatting it up. It was COVERED with onions. I was not thrilled. The burger to onion ratio was outrageous... let alone that I asked for zero onions. Anyways, she came back 5 minutes later and I asked for a refill on my water. I told her I didn't appreciate the onions. She then said very nonchalant, "okay, well, I can have it remade I guess." I said "no its fine, I'd just like a water please." She left and 5 minutes later came back with no water and asked us how our food was. Let's just say, she didn't get a tip... which, although we look like a bunch of young, poor adults, my Fiance and I are popular around most restaurants as we tip 50-100% of the meal 90% of the time... to those who earn it.
Moral of the story is, she needs to work on her waitressing skills. I'm a waitress myself so I get it.. but come on. We are approximately the same age as well. She was really pretty however. She has cute crimpy hair and a beautiful black ribbon in. Madi, you should do your hair...
