So I'll start by stating I was never impressed with the food from this establishment, it's my wife who loves them, their food and is the reason we often frequent them. With that out of the way let's get to the meat and potatoes of why we both were left very unsatisfied this morning. The food was as it always was, average but the service was horrendous, even I can agree the service is usually A+ but not today. We were practically ignored after being seated and only my wife was offered a refill once on our drinks. When the waitress finally did return it was not to offer us refills or see how we were fairing but instead to offer to get us containers as if it was time to get out. Now let's address the cleanliness, if you like dining with a fly infestation hovering about you and your food then you'd be delighted, we were not. One or two flies we can understand but this appeared more to be a colony that had occupied and moved in. Now for the final problem we had personally took issue with, we know everyone feels different based on political and social leanings but masks... None of the staff minus one lady was wearing a mask. Not requiring a mask is one thing but servers and cooks not wearing masks in this day & age of covid-19 is unacceptable. On top of that when we asked as we were paying we were informed that it's completely optional for the staff if rather they want to be a breeding ground for a deadly virus that has currently killed 180'000 Americans. Before were could even respond she just slammed our card down and walked away as if asking why they don't wear them was the most offensive question she had ever heard. This was the final straw and deciding factor on why we will never be returning to this establishment, even post covid-19. Thank you...
Read moreI was hopeful when I visited Butterburr's on New Years Day with my daughters, but our experience was nothing short of disappointing. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt promising, but that was the high point of our evening.
We ordered a range of dishes, hoping to find some hidden gems on the menu. Unfortunately, what arrived at our table was a selection of poorly prepared food. The kid's finger steaks were grey and very chewing to the point my daughter couldn't eat them. My oldest daughter's fish was overcooked and lacked any semblance of flavor, while my baked potato tasted like it had been sitting out far too long. Even the simplest items, like the sides, were not up to par.
After the meal, I felt a sense of obligation to reach out to the management and share my experience, hoping they would appreciate the feedback. I called the restaurant and was told I would get a call back from management. I have not received a call back even after messaging on Facebook. It’s incredibly frustrating when a restaurant is unresponsive to customer concerns, especially when it’s about the quality of the food they serve.
Overall, I left Butterburr's feeling dissatisfied and unheard. Good food and customer service should go hand in hand, and sadly, this establishment fell short on both counts. I won’t be returning, and I would suggest others think twice before dining here. There are plenty of places that truly value their customers and serve great food—Butterburr's unfortunately isn’t...
Read moreIn a month this restaurant became a "don't need to go back right away" for my family and me. From the time we walked in and the ladies behind the desk couldn't say, "Hello, someone will be right with you," to the "hostess" who seated us next to the cleaning equipment and could barely say, "Your server will be right with you," to the disappointing food. My son's 3 Piece Frenchie lacked any discernible cheese-the ingredient the sandwich is made of, for Pete's sake. He had to pull each of the 3 pieces apart in order to see/find the cheese. Basically, he had a deep fried bread sandwich. My ham and cheese omelet was short on ham and if I pulled it apart I could find some cheese-but I had to search for it. The hashbrowns were excellent, however. The famous twist? I requested raspberry from a choice of raspberry or cinnamon and had to look hard for the raspberry. Ultimately, half of the twist was dry and the other half was doughy. They screwed up my daughter-in-law's order and had to remake it. Fortunately, they brought her eggs and bacon out while they did that. We didn't mind that she had ordered ham instead of bacon-by the time the food came out, she was hungry enough to be happy with the bacon. And, now that I have typed this I'm thinking that they must have been running out of ham. Tonight was a far cry from the meals we had here a month ago-those were fantastic and we were excited to have Butterburr's back on our list of favorite restaurants. How the mighty...
