El Pollo Asado — Restaurant in Pocomoke City

This place is awesome. I ordered Carne Asada con frijoles y plátano. It was so good I will definitely come again if I’m ever in the area. I’m from New York and come out here to visit sometimes. Whenever I come out here to visit unfortunately I am almost always very disappointed by the food. The standard over here definitely seems to be different at most places even the ones with good reviews are often very disappointing. But this place is comparable to any Spanish place I would go to in NY. Big portions. Great food. And it’s not Tex mex style it’s real Spanish food. The selection was fantastic! I ordered the grilled Salmon and it was amazing! The favors and spices. The staff were super friendly and the place was very clean. My wife ordered the shrimp floutas and she could not believe how good they were. The fresh tortilla chips by themselves tasted so good. Our food took longer to cook than expected and they gave us extra sides to make up for the time. Although we didn't notice the time. I cannot recommend this place enough. Traveling through for work and staying at the hotel across the street, surrounded by the Bermuda Triangle of Fast food death I saw this place not to far off in the distant. Usually when you see a food joint at the end of a half abandoned strip mall you don’t think to much about it but I was in the mood for tacos or something with cilantro in general. I ordered the Pollo Parrillero and my god was it fantastic. From what my white boy pallet could discern this food is more authentic South American cuisine than any other run of the mill “Mexican” restaurant I’ve ever had. Will be returning...
