Terrible experience. I had visited the dennys on a Saturday afternoon with a group of friends and sat in the server named Clydes section. He was polite and gave us refills and checked on us even though they were busy. I had then asked Clyde for my portion of the bill once we began to finish. He then responded by asking us if we wanted the check split, we responded yes politely. Here's we're things went south. Immediately after our response he then began to unrespectfully scold us that " next time we need to make sure to tell our server that we want our bill split from the beginning" I had then cut him off and responded saying "you should have put each meal to each seat that was ordered". With the justification of having about 4-5 years of serving experience. Clyde had then proceeded to give me a scowl and rudely responded "no we do not need to assume seats" in front of the whole party. He continued to give me a scowling look as he walked away. Less than a minute had passed and Clyde brought the split checks back, showing that he had done it with ease and virtually meant that there was no need for his snide comment in the first place. As I was finishing my pancakes i had then heard Clyde make another remark stated "we don't have to assume" long after I had let the conversation drop. I had then responded "you have to have the last word don't you" Clyde immediately had a look of embarrassment and then was followed by the same scowl he had been giving me. One of the other individuals within our party had ordered the all you can eat pancakes and wanted a third round after all this had happened. We asked the busser for our server and Clyde never returned. We had to request to speak to the manager to have the order brought out. Since the manager was there I had then expressed to her what had happened. She then made a snyde grin towards us and laughed walking away saying she would look into it. Everyone had payed with no complications. I post this comment with the hopes of this location to discontinue to allow this type of employee behavior. The general manager and management team are siding with the servers based upon their personal relationships. we genuinely wanted a good dining experience and were were not loud or obnoxious. Servers please be polite for you are the face of the company and have a huge impact on the customers...
Read moreOn February 16, 2024, I visited your Denny's. I am writing to express my disappointment with the service and quality of food I experienced during my visit.
Firstly, the service was delayed, and it took an excessive amount of time to be acknowledged and seated upon arrival. The server came and practically rushed us to order. I was still ordering while she was taking the menus. The servers name on my receipt is Agripina R. Additionally, I was served overcooked cold food which was not up to the standard I expect from Denny's. Every food item including the cold, old, bitter coffee was sent back.
When departing, there was an incident where I overheard a worker questioning if my party had paid, implying a lack of trust or proper communication within your team. I felt disrespected considering there was another large group walking out in head of me and my party but they only targeted the colored people which was me, my mom and sister.
I came back in to speak with the manager. During my interaction with your staff, I encountered a Hispanic male, who identified himself as the manager. He was wearing all black attire, a baseball cap, and exhibited poor hygiene with dirty teeth hands, and nails. Despite bringing the issues to his attention, I received a disregarded explanation and felt that my concerns were not taken seriously.
I then came back in to get his name so that I can report him to corporate, but he was no longer at the register. So I went up to the black guy with braces who I paid with and asked him the guys name his first question to me is “why?” I respond “I‘d just like to know the name of the guy who helped me.” He then says with an attitude “Nadine” I then walk away disgusted with the level of unprofessionalism these employees have
the level of service and quality of food provided during my visit to your establishment were unacceptable. As a loyal patron of Denny's, I expect better standards and hope that you will take appropriate action to address these issues and prevent similar experiences for other customers...
Read moreI try giving places second chances I'll leave my old rant in case anyone's interested. Dennys has changed alot of their menu items and even reintroduced some that were taken off completely theres a little variety and most of the food is ok I wish I could say you get what you pay for but honestly the foods pricey for the quality of food. This one located on Temple will mess up your orders specifically when taking out so always double check I'm talking forgetting items overcooking food under cooking charging you extra on add ons then leaving it out the order etc. Its good when they get it right but even then it's not the best food around town.
Old review: Denny's has slowly been losing me, at first it started with a change in items they no longer had regular Iced Coffee which was 1.79 with free refills which was replaced with a 3.00 caramel blah blah blah mocha whatever with no refills and even now they don't serve onion rings anymore and changed other menu items like the philly cheese melt. Keeping things new and fresh is great but ridding items all together really just makes me want to go other places. One main thing the really keeps me away from Denny's is there is rarely any specials or deals that attract me and for the current prices for their menu items, I would easily choose eating out somewhere different, some examples Norms has their bigger better breakfast and recently had a 4 course meal deal Red Robins has their bottomless fries refills and Toms Burgers has the great service and cheaper food options that are better quality then Dennys. They don't really have a cool gimmick that grabs you, what they're open 24 hours so is norms and they got those deals going on alongside it, its not a hard choice to make. Overall I am gonna go ahead and stay away from this place and definitely would recommend you do too there is alot of...
