I’ve been a loyal Starbucks customer for over seven years. I visit daily and have spent thousands of dollars across locations. But today, I had the worst experience I’ve ever encountered at this Pomona store and I left without even receiving a drink.
I tried to order a lavender oat milk matcha latte and was told they no longer have lavender because it’s not in season. I completely understood and simply asked for the same drink with vanilla cold foam instead. Rather than handling the request professionally, the barista responded over the intercom while laughing and said, “This is the last time I’m going to tell you we don’t have lavender.” I stayed calm and clarified again that I was asking for vanilla.
When I got to the window, I asked to speak with a manager, and a woman named Jazz said she was the manager. Unfortunately, she was just as dismissive and condescending, laughing while I explained my concern. I was then spoken to by another staff member named Diana, who doubled down and claimed I was the one being inappropriate even though I had maintained a respectful and calm tone throughout.
At no point did anyone take accountability or even attempt to remake the drink. In fact, I left empty-handed, feeling completely disrespected and uncomfortable. The tone, the attitude, and the lack of basic courtesy were shocking.
Whether this was just a case of employees having a bad morning or something deeper like prejudice, I can say with confidence: I’ve never experienced this kind of treatment at any Starbucks. It was unprofessional, dismissive, and completely out of line.
I sincerely hope this store receives retraining on how to treat customers with basic respect. Nobody should be treated this way especially not a regular customer simply trying to get their...
Read moreOn April 3rd, 2024, my experience at Starbucks was made remarkably memorable thanks to the incredible effort and kindness shown by two outstanding employees, Janet and Diana. After receiving an incorrect order from another Starbucks location, we found ourselves at their store, hoping for a simple fix to our morning mishap. What we received in return was nothing short of extraordinary service.
From the moment we explained our situation, Janet and Diana welcomed us with empathy and understanding. They didn't just listen; they showed genuine care for our disappointment. With a mix of professionalism and personal touch, they quickly set out to remake our order, ensuring every detail was to our liking. Their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction were evident in every interaction.
But it wasn't just the remaking of an order that set Janet and Diana apart. It was their attitude, the warmth, and the effort they put into turning our day around. They engaged in friendly conversation, shared smiles that brightened our mood, and made us feel valued and appreciated. This level of service, where employees go above and beyond to rectify an issue not of their making, speaks volumes about their character and dedication.
Thanks to Janet and Diana, what started as a minor inconvenience became a reminder of how impactful excellent customer service can be. They not only fixed our order but also lifted our spirits, proving that it's the people that make Starbucks more than just a place to get coffee. Their exemplary service deserves recognition, and I am grateful for their kindness and professionalism. Starbucks is lucky to have such dedicated employees who embody the brand's values and go the extra mile for...
Read moreI would give higher stars if I could get my favorite barista everytime but they seem to have new barista a lot. 98% of the workers don’t smile at you or even come off as friendly. My last interaction with a barista was so horrible that I’ve officially made it my last. So, here’s how my last three visit went. An Asian “barista” (new employee) messed up my order three separate times. The last time though he messed up my order by making a drink that wasn’t even on the menu. He just put a bunch of ingredients together. Making it taste so disgusting. I came back an earlier time the following day hoping to avoid him. Just my luck he was there. When I came to the window he rolled his eyes at me. Then when the windows closed he said something to his employees and they all started laughing while looking my way!!!! It was 5am and I really didn’t want to start my day with such animosity so I drove off. Most of these baristas lack professionalism and drinks are a hit and...
