Taqueria El Jefe — Restaurant in Pomona

We were looking for tacos closer to home to not have to drive across town, so after reading the reviews we decided to give this place a try. WORST DECISION EVER!!! It's obvious that this is a family owned place because there are kids running in the dining area and going into the kitchen as if they owned the place. The place looks filthy and outdated, there is junk next to the entrance and the employees are rude. The girl taking our order had an attitude, never greeted us and never smiled. We waited about 20 minutes for our food when they did not have any other customers. The lady that brought us our food (on the cheapest styrofoam plates) was not polite at all. I ordered a buche burrito and let me tell you what. The rice was pleasant. The beans were pleasant. The meat was pleasant. The damn onions chopped in were pleasant.

Being in socal you find restaurants that provide a lot of the same items but with a small twist to them. Some try too much or not enough. I’ve been here multiple times and today I tired the Cabeza which in my opinion was the worst I’ve tried. Asada is alright and Al pastor sometimes is good but with all honesty the pepino drink is better than the food.
