Brendan's Sports Pub — Restaurant in Pompano Beach

I have been here on three different occasions and each time has been a disaster. The first time was about two months ago.They were having a 2-for-1 burger special night so myself and a party of 8 decided it would be a good idea to give it a try. Long story short, we waited over 2hrs to receive any kind of food. The managers explanation was the chef walked out during our order thats why everything took so long. So after waiting another 30min for them to wrap everything up because we wanted to just take it home at this point. they offered us some shots as their apology. I deemed that very inconsiderate given the fact we were not all drinking... Literally I had to argue my way out of there so I wouldn't have to pay full price. The second time our orders came out wrong, and not everyone got their food at the same time. The third time was a couple days ago, I vividly remember ordering a chicken tenders appetizers and then they came out raw.... Btw They did bring me fully cooked tenders after....But for the entree I ordered a chicken avocado sandwich that was missing the avocado when I got it. Unfortunately it will be hard to see myself...

Disappointed. We live a 3 iron from this pub and after driving by it for a few years we decided to try it. The bar was busy, but there were very few diners. The first drinks came immediately, and that’s when any semblance of service ended. The place is seriously in need of management attention in both facility and employee oversight. We ordered a light dinner which should have been served in 15 minutes. We had to prod the server after 30 minutes, which was also the time we could finally ask for another round of drinks. Dinner finally came, but was incorrect. The server repaired the order, and delivered our food. This by the way was the last time we saw a server. Nobody checked for satisfaction, nobody cleared any plates, nobody brought a check. I finally went up to the bar and paid. I don’t get it. The place was well staffed and not crowded. I get the feeling they cater to young people who may not be as discerning about service, or an interior that is very much in need of some TLC. The upside is the food was decent and inexpensive. What a great place! After stopping at a different restaurant that had a bit of a wait (Friday around 6pm) my aunt and I found this place and we are so glad we did. We were greeted warmly by a group of “regulars” as they called themselves. There was a small table open next to them that they invited us to sit at. The Tyler James Band was playing and sounded incredible. Our waitress, Anna, I believe, came over to us and quickly got us some drinks. We settled on a Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap and the Mahi Tacos. Both were excellent. My aunt thoroughly enjoyed her wrap and the tacos were the best fish tacos I have ever had. So fresh and flavorful. I really can’t say enough about them. We met Sam and Bob and they really made us feel welcome and like we belonged there. If we weren’t heading back to the Northeast, we would be making this a regular stop.
