Read moreWent there with a friend for lunch for a second visit. The first visit was really good with a great waiter. Josh. Good food and attentive service. Unfortunately second visit 1:56pm 8/7, Fed Hiway Pompano location was not consistent with the first.
Seemed like the wait staff was hiding out in the back. Took a while before anyone came out to greet and seat us. The person who did, took us to our booth and didn’t even say someone would be with you or who that would be. Everyone seemed like they were doing the bare minimum.
When the waitress came out she was cordial but not very helpful.
My friend ordered a burger and she never asked how he wanted it cooked, which always happened at every other Chili’s.
We had to remind her of the Chili’s club where you get either free soft drinks or chips. When we did she had us enter our phone number to access the deal then asked if we wanted chips or drinks. We replied drinks. She acknowledged.
When we got the bill the drinks were charged. When we asked her about it, she blamed us saying we should have selected the free drinks, which is interesting because we’ve been to multiple Chili’s including this location a few weeks ago and every time the waiter either entered it themselves or they turned the keypad around and told us to enter. She did neither. If what she said was true then why didn’t she tell us after we confirmed we wanted the free drinks. She just couldn’t admit she made a mistake and kept making excuses. Again, we usually have good experiences at Chili’s but this wasn’t...
Read moreI have been a loyal Chili’s customer for over 7 years and I never thought I’d have an experience so bad that I’d feel the need to write a review. Sadly, that all changed after dealing with Brittany, the so-called “manager” at the Pompano Beach location. I went in for a late-night pickup order, nothing complicated, just grabbing my food. My card gave me a brief issue, but I resolved it quickly. Instead of showing patience or professionalism, Brittany looked at me with pure attitude and said: “Say thank you, we did you a favor.” She also went on to say other egregious things, but honestly I stopped listening — because why would I care to be lectured or belittled by a manager when I’m simply picking up food I paid for? What makes this so saddening is that this has always been one of my favorite Chili’s locations. The food is usually great, the staff is always super nice, and I’ve never had an issue here before. But this night was a complete bust — not only was the service shocking and disrespectful, but the food itself was awful. I couldn’t even eat it, which means $40 went straight into the trash. I understand people have bad days, and the last thing I want to do is bother someone at work — but Brittany’s attitude was insane. The way she spoke to me was nasty, condescending, and humiliating. If this is how she chooses to treat paying customers, she will be a cancer to the team and a serious problem for this location. Chili’s needs to address this immediately before more loyal customers like me walk...
