El Vagón Bar & Tapas — Restaurant in Ponce

Great family sampler.

El vagon is an outdoor restaurant/bar that houses a wide variety of food and drinks. I went there with 4 people, and we were satisfied with the sampler. As you can see, it's pretty big.

The food itself was decent, nothing too crazy. Drinks were also good.

The service though, was great. We waited little more than 15 minutes for the sampler, which was good.

That being said, don't use shorts here or you may get mosquitos on you (I had long pants so I was good, but some of my friends were stung).

This place doesn't live to the expectations they promote on social media. They where super short of staff. They took so long to bring the food. After bringing the food with no fork and knife. I have to stand up and ask for them and remind the person of the additional side. trying to understand the low staff situation. When I started eating there was a hair in my food. Fantastic! Absolutely fantastic! Have vacationed in PR several times before but have only stayed in the San Juan region. This time, I rented a Jeep and drove the island, exploring great scenery and authentic food. Arrived in Ponce, late in the evening and starving. This place definitely hit the spot!
