Where do I start? First let me say that we've never had a bad experience at Bernardi's. Okay food and drinks, but way over priced. We made a reservation on Mother's Day for 6pm and weren't seated until 6:40. Our waitress took 10 minutes to even greet us. So we were ready to order by the time she got to us. I ordered the ribeye. They were sold out. I moved on to chicken bruschetta. They were out of alfredo (at an Italian restaurant?). I then asked the waitress what do you have? I finally landed on chicken parmesan, with grilled chicken?? Sorry Bernardi's, that's not chicken parmesan. Several people in our party weren't able to get what they wanted to order either. We let the manager know what happened and she didn't seem too concerned about our experience. No effort whatsoever to make it right. She even said sarcastically that she wanted to go home and enjoy her night. Well, needless to say we won't be back, ever. I'll be sure to let everyone know about our experience. Mother's day is the busiest day in the restaurant industry, and it was painfully obvious this place was not prepared at all! I don't usually write reviews, but I couldn't let this one slide. Bernardi's, very...

Awesome food as always. Have been disappointed with the greeting/seating staff at Pontiac location. Prefer good ole Monas in Toluca. Tonight I placed an order online, waited 5 minutes and never received a confirmation email. I called. Lady answered and said, let me check orders. Yep, I see it 7:30pm it will be ready. Walk in at 7:30. Greeter is at a table talking to people for just over minutes without even looking at the entrance. Walks up, I ask for my order and she says she doesnt have it. I told her I called. She argued with me that I never gave her my name and she assumed it was for the man that was sitting and waiting (late) for his order. I saod... I called and confirmed and you arent even giving me any kind of a discount for making me wait another 30 minutes? She said. Well show me on your phone where you ordered at the right location. Ummm, excuse me? I CALLED to confirm! Then, a very nice lady walks up, handling something else and overhears and says "her order is right here behind you" not an I'm sorry or anything from the greeter. Very unpleased with this Locations front end staff. Will stick...

I came here for the first time thinking that this restaurant would be just like Capponi's in Toluca, which I love. It's nothing like Capponi's. In Toluca I always get a carafe of iced tea because it's delicious & I don't have to keep bugging the people to refill my 8oz glass. The waitress at Bernardi's refused my request for a carafe, which was for the better looking back on it. Their tea looked & tasted like water. I like to eat & sometimes order a lot of food. The waitress here evidently thought it would be funny to comment about it; they've never done that to me in Toluca. The garlic bread w/ cheese in Toluca is the best I've ever had & it's literally SMOTHERED with mozzarella cheese; you can't even see the bread. Here at Bernardi's there was a pinch of cheese... maybe ten inch-long shreds. The filet in Toluca is so tender it melts in your mouth & the au jus is rich with flavor. Here in Pontiac the filet was not tender & had maybe a spoonful of tasteless au jus. It's amazing how much of a difference there was between the 2 restaurants. I won't be returning to Bernardi's & will stick with the far...

Excellent food, excellent service. We had originally taken a ride down to Log Cabin, only to discover they'd closed early. We improvised and searched for another option in Pontiac and were pleasantly surprised to discover Bernardi's. Very crowded for a Tuesday evening, reasonable dinner prices. The fried chicken was excellent and the steak fries are to die for. We'll definitely be back to this hidden gem in the charming downtown area of Pontiac!

Dining at Bernardi’s II is always a wonderful experience. Their fried chicken dinner is absolutely the best choice on the menu, but all other options are safe/good options too! The service is always great. It’s located in downtown Pontiac and is your typical steakhouse style restaurant. If you’re in town and looking for a good sit down dinner place I highly suggest Bernardi’s. They also have good cocktails and specials day to day.
