The food is typically always great. The most authentic you're going to get around. Service is in serious decline , and the customer bias is so gross that it puts a bad undertone on the entire experience.

•KEY DON'TS DON'T go in after Sunday lunch rush expecting a -decent table -professional server -timely meal

Our (while not a large) party of 7, including a highchair, was shoved into a corner over looking the rapidly clearing tables - that remained empty our entire visit. Although we did ask if there was something we could do for more space so when it came time to keep hot plates out of a baby's reach , we didn't have to do what we were ultimately faced with pushing our chips and dips to the empty table next to us.

Our unprofessional server needed to remove her headphone (airpod). She was very rude to my older father, stating, "Listen, I am so white, and I am going to tell you this." When my father already finished his order ,not issues when she wouldn't take any patience to simply say substitution or just tell him how he could achieve getting the side he wanted without having the extras he didn't want, is when she interrupted my father speaking to me simply trying to gain his own clarity ( because she was very impatient and rude with him) to state how she was also white and she didn't understand why he didn't know what he was ordering.

Lastly, despite the restaurant rapidly clearing, it took so long to get everything we ordered (6 entrees). My very patient, 15MO, baby had to go outside with his dad, who was able to eat more than half of their meal before we got our last plate on the table.

•In all to treat a party so poorly and still not try to make the experience better when he tried to appolizge ,well before we left, is very eyebrow raising.

Would I come back just my small family of 3 again. Yes! The food was great!

I would not bring another group of visitors or guests back, and the distaste has ruined any glowing word or mouth review I...

Came in today and tried to order a lunch special with a side of queso for the chips, same as always. On the top of the page right by the lunch specials it says you can substitute queso for the salsa with the chips. After ordering, the waitress said she was new and went to get the manager to figure out what the menu meant.

The manager came over and was extremely rude from the beginning. I'm not sure what the server told her or if the manager is just naturally rude, but I have no clue where all of the aggression was coming from.

I've gotten the queso substituted for salsa (for $1.50 extra) every time until today. She accused me of lying and said that would never happen at her restaurant because the server would be fired on the spot. I feel bad for the employees working under her.

She asked for a description of the server who always rings the queso up that way and I was scared to give her a description. I told her it was a man and left it at that. Unfortunately, there's only 1 male server (according to her) which I didn't know at the time. Fingers crossed he doesn't get fired over queso dip.

She then proceeded to tell me there are no men working there because the man is 18 years old. She kept calling him a kid, and according to her logic that doesn't qualify him as a male. Weird. It was like she would start saying anything just to argue. Strongly suggest not supporting...

My hubby and 19 yr old took me here tonight for my birthday for the first time ever. We ordered drinks and ordered our meal. We patiently waited for our food. And overlooked the dust and cob webs on and around our booth. The seats where you rest your head were sticky and had gunk on them. But i still was patient. Two baskets of chips and 2 bowls of salsa later we start to wonder where our food is. We ask our server why 3 tables after us had gotten their food and not us. They say oh so sorry it will be right out. We see in the kitchen they barely hang our order. Mind you we have waited an hour already. We go to tell the cashier we just want to cancel the order due to the hour wait and still no food and just pay for our drinks. She rudely trys to charge me for guacamole that was never brought and I still was charged for my drinks., that should have been comped due to their ignorance/mistake. Happy birthday to me! 😔 Thanks not El aculpulco! I won't ever go here again and I will not...

Loved this place! 1st time customer here. Hubby & I walked the half mile from our comfortable hotel(Hampton Inn) to eat there. Upon entering we were greeted by a friendly hostess and music that matched the restaurant. I really appreciate that. We were promptly seated at a nearby booth and chips & salsa soon followed. They have their standard salsa but they also have a spicier salsa. All very good. Reasonably priced. We ordered 2 large margies, 1 molcajete, 2 chile rellenos, 4 tacos & 1 tamale. Total was $80!!! We're impressed and will go back when we're in the area again. P.s. the video of the bubbling molcajete was after 10+ minutes of bubbling.

Food was amazing like always. As for the service when they was at our table it was amazing but we sit by the kitchen in the front and the team that they had working that day were engaging in some pretty unprofessional conversations as well as talking about some of the customers. I know these things are not to uncommon anywhere but it would had been nicer if they could had kept the conversations a little quieter. None the less this is one of my favorite Mexican places in poplar bluff to go to and still is. Food is always bussin and normally the staff there is amazing, your just always bound to have a bad seed or two at some point.
