I use to live in SeaTac for a few years and not once had anything resembling good Mexican or Mexican inspired food while living there. Can’t speak to the current state of Mexican food in Washington, but it would have to have had a renaissance of some sort to even be passable now. This summer I came back from AZ to visit some folks. On my last day in Port Angeles I stopped at a gas station, and walked into little devil’s grill to grab some food which was just next door. Birria tacos with the reduction compote. I had almost no expectation of this being good compared to even a fili b’s in Phoenix. I just asked the dude at the counter what to get, and went with that.
The second I bit into one of those tacos…. It became the best Mexican-ish food I had ever had in Washington by a staggering gap. I unfortunately didn’t eat it until I was already driving. I would have bought like 100 dollars in just birilla tacos had I eaten them while still there. Salsa reduction sauce was just the chef’s kiss.
Can’t speak to literally anything else on the menu. But when I got back to PA to do some more hiking, I will be eating here again to an amount that most would consider inappropriate. Listening to the chef and guy at the counter arguing about the best ozzy guitar rift was just an...
Read moreFirst time at the grill. I have always loved eating at Little Devil's Lunchbox. It was a quick stop on my commute home from work. Wooden enclosure with ceilingng heaters. After I ordered, I walked over to Big 5 to buy something I needed real quick. The meal took less than 10 minutes to prepare. Clean setting....

I came back today to get another OPP and was really disappointed. Instead of sweet potatoes, it was filled with cold french fries. I could understand if they ran out of sweet potatoes, or changed the menu, but they didn’t say anything about that and the fries weren’t even crispy. The sauce was super sweet and didn’t help their cause. Paid $16 for a weirdly sweet burrito with old soggy french...
