Big D's Donuts & Bagels — Restaurant in Port Charlotte

Big D’s Donuts & Bagels 6-27-25 I went in for some of Donuts on a Friday around 11. Lots to choose from in the counter. The girls that work there are very friendly as was the owner. This place was neat and clean with donuts in a case so you could see them easily. I ordered a half dozen and they barely fit into the box. I got 3 Apple Fritters, 2 Chocolate covered Boston Cream and 1 Chocolate covered Long John to go. I told the owner it was my first time there. She gladly answered any questions I had and threw an extra Glazed Donut with the 6 others that I ordered. Once home we ate the Apple Fritters first, they were amazing, very large, tasted great and filled with Apples and done perfect. I just loved these, Fritters. Later I grabbed the Chocolate covered Boston Cream and it was fantastic, lots of cream and very large in size. My wife ate the Glazed Donut and just loved it. All Our Donuts were very fresh. I tell you these were the best donuts I had in this area simply amazing. When we are up that way, we will make sure we stop and grab some more. Make sure you put this place on your to do list. You guys need to stop and get your self some you will not be sorry. I must give this place 5 out of 5 stars. My boyfriend had discovered this place with his coworkers and told me he HAD to take me here when he flew me out here so we went and I was honestly blown away! We got doughnuts & bacon egg and cheeses on croissants. The doughnuts were super soft and delicious, definitely one of the best doughnuts I’ve had. The bacon egg and cheeses are made to order, not ready made and heated up so they were fresh and delicious! We had to come back the next day before I flew back to Houston. I took some extra for my flight as well because they were just that good. The people who worked there were very kind and friendly, they gave us 2 extra donuts and a few donut holes and they remembered to give us hot sauce without us asking. 1st time in, wanted a coffee and a couple donuts, Coffee was completely empty, had to wait for a fresh brew🫠, fine we waited tried our selection one apple fritter, and one of the frosted croissant, they were OK seemed greasy after taste :( not a fan for us

Finally Got coffee 20min later, no milk just some half and half which is fine no napkins or plastic ware.

Since we have never been there and I told her, you would think they would point out the big menu to your hard right way up high as you walk in.
