Nice spot right on the water with a pretty good selection of food.
I started out with the queso, which I shouldn’t have, because it was delicious and I couldn’t stop eating it. Definitely recommend.
For an entree I got 12 bone-in wings original hot. Unfortunately they were delivered to my table at room temperature. I didn’t complain though, I just got down to business. I’m going to assume this isn’t common place, and I was just an occasional victim to the lunch time rush. Despite the temperature of the food though, the wings were pretty meaty, but they had good flavor and they weren’t overcooked, which is a huge bonus. They were nice and moist (not sorry if you dislike that word).
Due to my lack of self control with the queso, I was unable to finish all 12 wings (I know, I’m a wimp). Brought them home to snack on later though.
Will definitely be back again for the wings, and will hope they are a bit warmer next time. Also excited to go back and try a few other items on their menu. I went with the intent to get the wings, but there were some other items that were screaming my name.
Service was quick and polite even during the lunch rush of a Friday.
They had a big fan by the front blowing air into the seating area. Felt really good inside, but any loose light weight items, like napkins or small children, could blow away if not properly secured.
If you’re in town for work or pleasure, give this spot a try. Nice view on the patio too if it’s not an absolute...

So my boyfriend decided to take me to this restaurant for our anniversary dinner. He really enjoys the wings (I had never been, this was going to be my first time) and we didnt feel like driving all the way to Victoria to Texas Roadhouse. We got there at 8:50 pm and no one attended us to sit down. After 5 minutes the host comes by and asks whether we want to sit outside or inside, we tell her inside and she says she'll set up the table for us and call us in a bit. After 4 minutes 8:59 pm the manager/owner comes out and lets us know the kitchen closes at 9 pm. That he can serve us drinks if we'd like. My boyfriend was about to get mad and let him know we've been waiting to be seated for a while. But I interrupted him, smiled at the manager and told him, "we're good, thank you", and walked out. Drove to Victoria because we were not gonna let this bad experience and terrible customer service ruin our night. We get to Victoria to Texas Road House took them about 5 minutes to get us a table and another 15 for our food to be ready. The waiter super nice and patient. We wasted 100$ on food, drinks and tip. Those 100$ could have gone to support a local business that we looked forward...
Read moreI have eaten, or tried to eat here 4 times. Honestly, if it wasn't for the location of being right on the water, I wouldn't have been back after the second time. The food itself is ok. The waitstaff on 2 of my visits...one, I waited in a mostly empty restaurant for 45 min before taking my order....then after 45 min of no food, I had to cancel everything, as I didn't now have time to eat. Having 1.5rs to spend for a meal isn't asking too much, but that time, it apparently was. The other bad experience with wait staff was bring asked if I wanted an appetizer. So I order one, but it comes cold, with the cold meal. Who wants their appetizer served with their meal at the same time??? The other two times the service was ok and food was ok. I gave it more chances than usual because it's the only waterview restaurant in Port Lavaca. However, nice view or not...I won't be back...maybe if you are a regular and they like you, you'll be...
