303 Pub & Grub — Restaurant in Port Lavaca

Went on Saturday eve of Memorial Day weekend. Was busy when I got there but, emptied out and closed up by 8pm. I was reassured I was not holding them up, it was just quiet after a long busy day. Drink was a mango margarita on the rocks, tasty and not too sweet. Got the Chef salad, super size and fresh for $10.99. Was easily shareable. The seafood boils were a weekend special. I asked for no seasonings except butter and while too much butter 😅, it was fantastic. I had the 1/2 lb of shrimp ( looked like more) and crab legs. I also added a potato and corn, both good size for the up charge. My server Aubby was great, attentive but, not overly. Good music, multiple screens for sports, small arcade/ gaming area. Outdoor covered screened in area. Bar seats as well. Parking easy but, maybe challenging if super busy. However, may be more parking that I just didn't see. Definitely a repeat needed the next...

This is a great place, but..... The food and the service were great. But probably not the first choice for taking the grandkids. Don't get me wrong, I have no complaints at all, and I'm glad we stayed. The wait staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and at 5 o'clock on Saturday afternoonit wasn't too crowded. We ordered a nice mix of things, and were not disappointed with any of the choices. The Frito pie was the biggest I've ever seen, the loaded nachos had just the right amount of heat and the chef salad was on point. But the real star of the show was the pulled pork burger and as strange as it sounds, the French fries. Would definitely be a regular spot for watching the game with the boys when I visit...

Absolutely would not recommend this place, my birthday dinner was a flop. We'd probably only return during cool weather for my husband to enjoy a beer in the outside seating area as the food was not great. I ordered the sidewinder fries which were overly salty & i like salt!. The pulled pork was Mushy and I didn't receive my side of Cole slaw which probably wouldn't have been good so i didn't even bother. Husband ordered the fried burger with the gravy and that was just ok. The boudin balls were ok, tasted better once dipped in ranch. Out a party of 5, only 1 enjoyed their food but my son likes everything so take that with a grain of salt. Was really disappointing considering I had read such...
